Salt Lake City, Utah
A life-long resident of Salt Lake City, Keith Barlow graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in History. Prior to entering law school, Keith worked within the Utah System of Higher Education as an Outreach Officer for UESP. He also worked as Marketing Director for a national dental marketing firm. He and his wife, Chantelle, when not chasing around their 4-year-old future baseball all-star, Tyson, enjoy movies, music, and plays.
Guatemala City, Guatemala
Heath Becker graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2007 with bachelor’s degrees in both accounting and business management. Thereafter, Heath worked for Deloitte and Touche auditing the financial statements of SEC registrants including Pepsi Bottling Group, Warnaco, and Dress Barn in the New York City metropolitan area. Heath also gained experience by working two tax seasons at the CPA firm Cooper Norman in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he completed over 250 tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, LLCs, S-corps, and trusts. Heath will be traveling to Guatemala City to work with the Area Legal Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
São Paulo, Brazil
Preston Gardner graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in English and a minor in Philosophy. He and his wife, Devan, have been married for five years and have one son, Conway, and one daughter on the way. Preston served a mission for the LDS church in São Paulo, Brazil. He looks forward to returning to São Paulo to work for the Area Legal Counsel for the LDS church.
Mexico City, Mexico
Kristina Hardy graduated from BYU in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Spanish. During her undergraduate studies she studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, and loved living in a Spanish-speaking country. She is looking forward to working in Mexico City at the Office of General Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Auckland, New Zealand
Bryan Holm graduated from the BYU with a Finance degree in 2006. He worked for three years in the Ernst & Young Advisory Services Group in Phoenix, where he met his wife. Bryan will be travelling to Auckland, New Zealand, for an externship with the Area Legal Counsel of the LDS Church.

George I. Monsivais is the son of immigrant parents from Mexico, converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although raised in a Spanish-speaking home, he served as a full-time missionary in the Germany Frankfurt mission. He earned BA and MA degrees in Political Science from Brigham Young University, and MAPP and Ph.D. degrees in Political Science / Public Policy from the Claremont Graduate University. He has worked as a statistical analyst, programmer analyst, and as a public policy analyst. For the sixteen years prior to coming to law school, he worked as a research analyst in the Research Information Division at LDS Church Headquarters….
Lima, Peru
Rebecca Nelson hails from Provo, Utah. She met her future husband in middle school, but they did not become friends until college, when he sent her a paper he had written on the role of the United States in the Algerian War. She graduated from BYU in 2009 with a degree in English linguistics, during which time she spent a summer studying Arabic in Amman, Jordan. She served a mission in Concepción, Chile, and is delighted to have the chance to return to South America this summer to work with the Area Legal Counsel for the LDS Church in Lima, Peru.

Lori Olsen graduated with honors from Brigham Young University in 2004 with a degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development. In 2007 she earned a Masters degree in Public Administration from BYU, after which she worked for two years for the State of California in the State Auditor’s Office as a State Auditor. Lori served a mission for the LDS church in Louisville, Kentucky, Spanish speaking. She has traveled and studied extensively including as a student at BYU’s Jerusalem Center, English teacher in China, and student of art and culture in Western Europe and South-East Asia. Julie Slater graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in Economics and Political Science. Before entering law school she served in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. Julie is interested in economic development and has worked with various non-profit organizations doing humanitarian aid work in Africa, including spending a month helping orphanages in Mozambique. Julie loves hiking, waterskiing, and scuba diving.

Robert Stratford graduated magna cum laude from BYU in 2007 with a degree in philosophy and Chinese, and a minor in film. He grew up in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and served a Chinese-speaking mission in Sydney, Australia. Robert hopes to practice law in China. He and his wife Lynda have been married for five years and have one son, Simon. Robert will be travelling to Hong Kong to work with the Area Legal Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jordan Teuscher graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University in 2007, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Philosophy. While an undergrad, he served as the BYU Phi Beta Lambda president, and took first place in public speaking for the state of Utah for three consecutive years—finishing fourth in the nation in 2007. After graduating, he co-organized the First Annual Trial Advocacy Tournament for the Leavitt Institute for International Development in Kyiv, Ukraine. Adam Thompson married LeAnn Brown 7 years ago, and they have 3 sons and a daughter on the way. Adam is primarily of lover of his family. He is also a lover of the natural law, both as it relates to the physical world and to the world of mankind. Prior to entering law school, he was working on his Ph.D. in physics at Arizona State University.
