Hoai Bac Vu, Chairman, The Government Committee of Religious Affairs

Vu Hoai Bac became chairman of Vietnam’s Government Committee of Religious Affairs in January 2022. As head of the agency, he is responsible for advising and assisting the minister of home affairs on matters pertaining to belief and religion, implementing policies and law on belief and religion nationwide, and carrying out public services in the areas of belief and religion according to the provisions of law. Prior to his current position, he worked at the Ministry of Public Security. Vu earned a bachelor’s degree from People’s Security University in 1993. He is married and has two children.
