Tom Withers was born in London, England, and spent the first part of his life in the UK. Tom’s family eventually moved to a tiny town in Idaho called Firth, where Tom attended high school. Tom met and married his wife, Courtney, in 2012. He ran a small trucking company out of Idaho Falls with his dad for a few years before enrolling at BYU-Idaho to study sociology. Tom first learned about the International Center for Law and Religion Studies during a fireside at BYU-Idaho and immediately knew he wanted to be involved. For Tom, becoming one of the Center’s summer fellows is a dream come true. Tom and Courtney are both pursuing advanced degrees and running a business while raising their three beautiful daughters (and taking care of their dog, Rudy.) Tom is an avid fiction reader and podcast listener, and he occasionally plays video games socially.
