Tanner Hafen was born and raised in St. George, Utah. After graduating from high school, he served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in southern Alberta, Canada. Tanner then attended Brigham Young University where he graduated with a degree in sociology. Tanner has loved studying at the J. Reuben Clark Law School and hopes to make a positive difference in the legal field. Throughout his life, Tanner has been fascinated by different religions and other systems of belief not only because he likes to learn more about the peoples and cultures of the world, but also because their beliefs have helped him be a better person in his own sphere. As a result, Tanner firmly believes that all people should be able to worship—or not—according to the dictates of their own conscience. Apart from his work with the Center and his law school studies, Tanner loves to spend time with his wonderful wife, appreciate art and architecture, and geek out over Star Wars.
