Prior to attending the J. Reuben Clark Law School, Spencer Brown received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University. Spencer has worked for the Office of General Counsel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City where he dealt with a wide variety of issues involving domestic and international law. He is currently editing the employment law chapter of a treatise on American religious organizations in connection with the Center. Spencer is from Salt Lake City, and has a wide variety of interests including triathlon, snowboarding, cooking, and Scottish politics. He is a member of the Moot Court team, the American Inns of the Court, and is president of Legal Spin, the BYU Law School cycling club.
