Roy is an anesthesiologist and has practiced in Durango, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada. He mentors pre-med and medical school students in anesthesiology and has been an adjunct professor at Touro University.

Tanya graduated from BYU with a degree in Recreation Management. She enjoyed working with youth in sports programming and is a supporter of high school and community theater. Roy and Tanya enjoy tennis, pickleball, and just about anything outside. They are the parents of two children.
