Reuben Abante is senior pastor of the Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church and Ministries. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, then worked at AVESCO, where he pioneered technological advancement. He is frequently invited to be an expert speaker on various issues at House of Representatives’ hearings. He served as a member of the Presidential Council for Values Formation and made presentations at both local and foreign forums, including the Interfaith High-Level Dialogues of the UN. He has also been involved in the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission, University of the Philippine’s National College for Public Administration, and the Department of Education. Bishop Abante heads the boards of The Great Lighthouse Foundation, Mapa Blue Falcon Honor Society, Great Commission Television, and Friendship Builders Foundation. He was elected president of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila Alumni Association, is vice chair of the Far Eastern Broadcasting Corporation, and serves as board secretary of the Global Filipino Movement Foundation. He hosts the Lighthouse Café Show and The Pulpit on GCTV.
