Report: The Global Catholic Population

Pew Research Center report, 13 February 2013. A recent report found that the number of Catholics globally has tripled in the past century, from 291 million in 1910 to nearly 1.1 billion in 2010. The geographic distribution of Catholics has also changed substantially, and today the largest share of Catholics is in Latin America and the Caribbean.
