Quinn Mecham

Quinn Mecham is an associate professor of political science at Brigham Young University, where he also serves as the coordinator for Middle East studies. He joined BYU in 2013 after teaching at Middlebury College and George Washington University. He holds a PhD in political science from Stanford University. Dr. Mecham’s research focuses on political mobilization in the Islamic world, exploring themes such as elections, protests, and political violence, particularly in the Arab world and Turkey. He has also worked on political participation in authoritarian regimes and the behavior of Islamist political parties. Additionally, he was an Academy Scholar at Harvard University and served as a Franklin Fellow in Policy Planning at the US Department of State.
