After graduating from the University for Teachers of Foreign Languages, Hanoi National University (VNU) in 1996, Phan Thi Thanh Luyen worked for the Centre of Information and Library of VNU until 2004. Since September 2004 she has worked for the Department of Foreign Relations, Ministry of Public Security in the field of international relations, specializing in research on Vietnam’s law on belief and religion. She is a member of the Vietnam-USA Society and is married with one daughter.
