Persida Rueda-Acosta

Persida Rueda-Acosta completed several prestigious programs at Harvard Kennedy School, including the senior executive fellows program, the senior executive program on national and international security, and the public financial management program. She also holds a professional certificate in international management and leadership from the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies and fellowships from the Salzburg Global Seminar (2023, 2009). A consistent top student throughout her academic career, she graduated cum laude with a BS general degree and received numerous accolades, including being a Presidential Civil Service Commission Scholar and University Scholar. Dr. Rueda-Acosta earned her doctor of social development degree from the University of the Philippines. Recognized for her expertise in legal aid and human rights advocacy, she has served as a law professor, intergovernmental expert, and resource person for international institutions such as IIJ, UNICEF, UNODC, UNDP, and USAID.
