Óscar Antonio Mersán Galli, CEO, Solidarity Foundation
Oscar Mersan Galli is a senior associate at Mersan Abogados. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a law degree from the National University of Asuncion, Paraguay. He completed the graduate program at the Academy of American and International Law at Southwestern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, USA, and obtained a diploma in international practice in joint international operations from the Faculty of Law in London, UK. Mersan Galli has been a tax law professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Asuncion in Paraguay, a general advisor for the United Nations Development Program in Paraguay, and trust attorney for the Swiss embassy. In addition, he has provided legal consultation services to organizations such as the International Finance Corporation, the International Investment Corporation, DEG–Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft, and the World Bank. He is a cofounder and honorary member of the Paraguayan Chamber of Exporters and Traders of Cereals and Oleaginous and serves as general counsel for the Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology. Beyond his legal career, Mersan Galli is CEO of the Fundacion Solidaridad, a nonprofit organization dedicated to social assistance that focuses particularly on children and adults with disabilities.
