Maren Cline is a native of North Salt Lake, Utah. She received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and minor in music from BYU. Her interest in religious liberty grew when she had the opportunity to serve as the 2016 Utah Days of 47 Queen, speaking at more than 70 events around the state to highlight Utah pioneers and their religious persecutions and triumphs. Since then, she has continued her community involvement through creating and teaching a public speaking class to teenage refugees, interning for the Deseret News, anchoring and reporting for BYU Broadcast’s Newline, and serving as Miss Provo 2018. Maren served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nagoya, Japan, and is excited to work for that area legal counsel this summer. Aside from her professional legal pursuits, Maren is a harpist, singer, and pianist, and performs regularly with the band Three Reds.
