Lan Thi Hoang is director of the Institute of Religions and Beliefs in the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. The academy is a central training center for middle- and high-ranked government officials in Vietnam. Professor Lan’s research focuses on social engagements of religious organizations in different regions of Vietnam. She has taught and pursued research in religious studies and practices for the past 25 years.
