José Luis Llaquet de Entrambasaguas
Professor of Law and Religion in Seville
José Luis Llaquet de Entrambasaguas has been a deputy magistrate in the Provincial Court of Barcelona for one year and a judge in the Ecclesiastical Court of Barcelona for 10 years. He is also a lawyer in the Ecclesiastical Court, an attorney-at-law, and an associate professor at Loyola Andalucía University. He specializes in law (historical, law and religions, and canon law); ethics; intercultural and indigenous rights; and religious and spiritual issues. He has been a member of research groups funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education as well as groups at various foreign universities and has published numerous articles and books. His work has taken him to many countries in America, Europe, and Africa. In 2016 he was the finalist for the Prince of Asturias Chair at Georgetown University. Mr. Llaquet holds a PhD in law and in canon law and a PhD Honoris Causa. He earned additional degrees in law, ecclesiastical studies, canon law, spiritual theology, and ecclesiastical philosophy.
