James is a managing director with Alvarez & Marsal, a global advisory firm specializing in restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and general business advisory. James specializes in US corporate/partnership federal income tax, US international tax, and cross-border M&A tax. Formerly, he was a partner/principal with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Silicon Valley. Previous to that he was a managing director with KPMG in Silicon Valley and Washington, DC. He earned a B.A. in economics from BYU, his J.D. from Chapman University School of Law, and his LL.M in taxation from Boston University School of
Cheryl is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG. She graduated from BYU with a master’s degree in Tax Accountancy. Cheryl and Jim have four children.
