Ibrahim Alhassan
Director, Youth and Gender Advocacy, Office of the National Chief Imam, Ghana
Ibrahim Alhassan is the youth and gender advocacy director at the Office of the National Chief Imam, Ghana. He is also a committee member of the Ghana Country Coordinating Mechanism of the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. He serves as a committee member of the National Child Protection Committee at the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection and is dedicated to the promotion of girl-child education, human rights advocacy, interfaith dialogue, global peace, and moral scholarship. Mr. Alhassan earned his MBA in 2019 at the Beijing Technology and Business University. He is currently an MA candidate in human rights law and practice at the University of Ghana School of Law. Mr. Alhassan presented a research paper “The Beauty of Islam and Democracy in a Secular Society” at the 4th Bali-International Conference on Social Science and Humanities. He also made a presentation “The Islamic perspective of Child’s Rights/Protection Principles at the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection,” at a conference organized by the Department of Children and the United Nations Children’s Fund.
