Graciana Messier is a 1L at BYU Law and a recent graduate of BYU–Hawaii with a BA in intercultural peacebuilding and political science. She worked as the student lead for BYU–Hawaii’s Women’s Services and Resources, for the US State Department, and for several nonprofits. She is passionate about ending child marriage, a cause she has championed through advocacy, a TEDx Talk, and various projects. Ms. Messier is from northern Idaho and enjoys graphic design, reading, and traveling. After law school she plans to pursue public-interest law focusing on women’s rights, gender-based violence, or disability law.
