Demberel Sukhbaatar

Demberel Sukhbaatar teaches various subjects in religious studies, including introduction to religious studies, ethics of religion, rituals of religion, Sanskrit language of Buddhist texts, mythology, and religion. Mr. Sukhbaatar’s research primarily focuses on the history of Buddhism in Mongolia, Buddhist social work activities in Mongolia, and new religious movements in Mongolia. He has coauthored several significant works, including The Encyclopedia of Mongolian Culture and Arts (2016), The Growth of Buddhist Social Work Activities in Mongolia (2018), and The Handbook of World Civilizations (2020). Additionally, he has served as editor for 10 books on Mongolian religion and culture and has authored 18 articles on Buddhist studies and new religious movements in Mongolia.
