Daniel Nelson was born and raised in Grantsville, Utah as the fifth of five children. He grew up playing sports and doing a lot of yard work. He served a mission in McAllen, Texas, then earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from BYU. He came to law school because he loves the Constitution and enjoys analyzing law and policy. Outside of law school, he enjoys slow-pitch softball, pickleball, and golf. He also likes reading historical non-fiction (especially books focused on the Founding Era) and anything from C.S. Lewis.
