Elder Craig Cardon has been serving as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was recently released and given emeritus status. He served as an Assistant Executive Director in the Priesthood Department, as Editor of Church magazines, and in other assignments. He previously served as president of the Africa West Area for the Church. Elder Cardon studied accounting and earned a BA degree from Arizona State University. He received an MPA degree from the Harvard Kennedy School with a Methodological Area of Concentration in Leadership and was named a Littauer Fellow. He married Deborah Louise Dana in 1970, and they are the parents of eight children and have a growing number of grandchildren.
