Abubakr Muhammad earned his BA in English from the University of Abuja and pursued law studies at Bayero University, Kano. He delved into Islamic sciences under scholars such as the late Sheikh Abubakar Gumi and Ahmed Deedat in Nigeria and Durban, South Africa. His quest for learning led him to Al-Azhar University in Cairo. Proficient in Arabic and English, Mr. Muhammad is a prominent figure in public discourse, serving as a commentator, writer, and columnist for Leadership Newspapers. For more than 35 years, he has interpreted Khutbah (sermons) at the National Mosque in Abuja, reflecting his deep understanding of religious matters. His expertise extends to interfaith dialogue and Muslim-Christian relations, topics on which he has presented papers at various national and international conferences, including the Muslim World League Conference. Notably, he was at Brigham Young University in Provo,
Utah, together with a group of participants of the International Leadership Program of the US Government; he wrote extensively about his experience in his column. This is his second time attending the Annual International Law and Religion Symposium.
