Ha participado activamente promoviendo la familia, el derecho a la vida y la libertad en distintas esferas públicas, especialmente en el Congreso de la República, foros de sociedad civil, iglesias y en Colegios profesionales. También ha participado defendiendo los derechos humanos y la familia en programas de radio, televisión, charlas y capacitaciones a nivel nacional. En instancias internacionales ha representado al Estado de Guatemala ante la Comisión de la Condición Jurídica y Social de la Mujer (Naciones Unidas) y en la Asamblea General de la Organización de los Estados Americanos, ambas en calidad de delegada oficial.

Tiene una licenciatura en Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales por la Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Guatemala. Diplomado en Protección Internacional de los Derechos Humanos de la Mujer, de la Escuela de Política, Gobierno y Relaciones Internacionales, Universidad Austral, Argentina.

Actualmente es la vicepresidenta de la Asociación La Familia Importa.

She has actively participated in promoting the family, the right to life and liberty in different public spheres, especially in the Congress of the Republic, civil society forums, churches, and professional associations. She has also participated defending human rights and the family in radio and television programs, talks and trainings at the national level. In international instances, she has represented the State of Guatemala before the Commission on the Juridical and Social Condition of Women (United Nations) and in the General Assembly of the Organization of American States, both in the capacity of official delegate.

She has a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Francisco Marroquín University, Guatemala. Diploma in International Protection of Women’s Human Rights, from the School of Politics, Government and International Relations, Austral University, Argentina.

She is currently the vice president of the Association La Familia Importa.
