The Opening Session of the 23rd Annual International Law and Religion Symposium of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies, held Sunday evening, October 2. 2016, was streamed live via Internet to viewers worldwide from the Moot Court Room of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Highlighting the session was the outstanding keynote address by Professor Heiner Bielefeldt, who currently serves as the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief. During the meeting, Professor W. Cole Durham, Jr. presented the Center’s Distinguished Service Award to Professor Bielefeldt, for his outstanding contributions to the field of freedom of religious freedom worldwide.
