Dan Jorgensen

Dan graduated from Jordan High School, BYU, and Harvard Business School. He joined First National City Bank of New York in 1965, working in NYC, Italy, Germany, and Utah. In 1986, Dan purchased a family ranching business in Fishlake National Forest. He was recruited in 1987 by the CEO of AIG to resolve third world debt and special finances. Dan’s success with sovereign debt led him to Moscow, Russia where he founded the Russian American Investment Bank and oversaw AIG’s business in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. He later created Jorgensen Associates in Moscow. Dan and Elaine served in many Church callings. They opened the Italy North Mission, 1971-74. Later in Dusseldorf, while at Trinkaus & Burkhardt, he was called to be the Regional Representative for East Germany and Switzerland. Dan served a mission to East Germany/North Germany, 1958-61.

Elaine passed away January 3, 2024. She graduated from the University of Utah, and earned a Master of Music Degree from Manhattan School of Music followed by a three-year Special Doctoral Studies Fellowship from Juilliard School of Music in New York. Later in life she was awarded a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Manhattan School of Music in Flute Performance. Elaine and Dan raised five beautiful children, all born in Europe.
