We invite you to join us for a religious freedom conference in Auckland on Feb. 21-22, 2025. The Conference will run Friday, Feb. 21st from 5-9pm and Saturday, Feb. 22nd from 8am-6:30pm at the JW Marriott Hotel (22-26 Albert Street) in Auckland.

The International Center for Law & Religion Studies at Brigham Young University Law School (United States) in partnership with The University of Waikato Te Piringa – Faculty of Law (New Zealand), The Religious Freedom and Human Dignity Initiative at Brigham Young University–Hawaii (United States), and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society (New Zealand) are sponsoring the conference entitled “Freedom to Do, to Be, and to Become: Enhancing Individuals’ Opportunities to Believe and Live as They Choose Within the Framework of the Law.”

The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for religious clergy, governmental officials, academic scholars, and civil society leaders to expand our understanding of freedom of religion or belief in New Zealand and the broader South Pacific region, in conjunction with the opening of the new Auckland, New Zealand temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
