Alsadiq Khalafalla is an international relations expert with special expertise on the Middle East and Africa. In 2023 he was appointed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as a member of the board of trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence. Dr. Khalafalla also serves as the advisor for strategic affairs at Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He regularly appears in the media and is frequently called on to comment on Africa and the Middle East. He is an author and has participated in numerous international conferences. Dr. Khalafalla is an advocate for international peace and religious tolerance. He was recognized by the prime minister of Israel for his contributions to Bahrain-Israel relations. Dr. Khalafalla has received an honorary doctorate and was honored by the US Congress for his work. He has held teaching and leadership positions throughout the world. He holds a PhD in public policy and administration, an MBA, and a bachelor’s degree. He lives in Bahrain with his wife and two children.
