Alsadig Khalafalla
Member of the Board of Trustees, King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence; Advisor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Bahrain
Dr. Alsadig Omer Khalafalla was appointed by His Majesty on October 2023 as a Member of the Board of Trustees of King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, he currently serves as an Advisor for Strategic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He was the President of the Board of Trustees of the Humpty Dumpty Institute (HDI) for six years. The institute is responsible for coordinating visits of U.S. Congress delegations to countries worldwide and the United Nations. Dr. Khalafalla previously held the position of Chairman of the Bahraini-American Council for four years and chaired the Board of Directors of the Ibn Rushd Arab-American Centre. He also chaired the Board of Trustees of the “Iqra” Islamic schools in Richmond, Virginia, in addition to the Interfaith Dialogue Council at the University of Richmond in the United States. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of BetaTech College and Virginia Medical Institute in the United States. He also serves as the Chairman of the School Board at the Swiss School of Management in Zurich. Dr. Khalafalla worked as an analyst for Arab and African affairs at Alhurra TV, an Arabic-language American television channel. Dr. Khalafalla is also the president and co- founder of the Bahrain International Forum since 2013. Dr. Khalafalla holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States, a masters degree in management from Frostburg State University in the United States, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Louisiana in the United States.
