Michael Gwosdz
Spokesman for Religious Policy, Green Parliamentary Group in the Hamburg Parliament, Germany
Michael Gwosdz studied political science at University of Hamburg and Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg, graduating in 2002. From 1994 to 1996, he worked in civilian service and as a nursing assistant in outpatient care. From 2000 to 2010, he was a network administrator and full-time consultant in civic education. Since 2010, he has been the head of an advice center for the recognition of foreign qualifications. Mr. Gwosdz has twice been a member of the Deputation of a Ministry: He served in Interior and Sport from 2011 to 2015 and Labor, Social Affairs, Family and Integration from 2015 to 2020. His experience also includes being on the regional committee for Stellingen/Eidelstedt from 2017 to 2020. In the Green Party, his positions have included district committee member for Erlangen and Hamburg-Altona and member of the Hamburg State Executive Committee. He was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from May 2008 to March 2011, and he began another term of service in March 2020. Since June 2020 he has been parliamentary secretary of the Green Parliamentary Group and the spokesperson for refugee and religious policy.
