Jimena Esquivel Leautaud

Jimena Esquivel Leautaud currently works in the office of the General Director of Religious Affairs for the Secretariat of Governance (DAGR) as the director of respect and tolerance for religious diversity for peacebuilding (DGAR-SEGOB). In this role she promotes and implements the national strategy for DAGR-SEGOB, “We Create Peace.” Previously, she worked in Cáritas Mexicana as the secretary of justice, peace and reconciliation, faith and politics. She helped develop and implement of the national peacebuilding strategy of Pastoral Social in Mexico. She is an instructor at Ibero-American University, teaching subjects such as Mexican foreign policy, diplomatic and consular practice, and Latin America and the Caribbean, among others.
