Aloisio Cristovam Dos Santos Jr. holds a doctor of law degree from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul and a master’s degree in political and economic law from Mackenzie University. He has taught employment law and labor litigation and is now a judge in the Fifth Region Labor Court. He was formerly a district attorney and prosecutor for the state of Bahia. He has authored several Portuguese and Spanish legal texts that deal with employee freedom of religion and expression, including the books Liberdade religiosa e contrato de trabalho: a dogmática dos direitos fundamentais e a construção de respostas constitucionalmente adequadas aos conflitos religiosos no ambiente de trabalho (Rio de Janeiro: Editora Impetus, 2013), La Libertad Religiosa de Los Trabajadores: El deber empresarial de acomodación razonable como mecanismo de promoción de los Derechos Humanos (Madrid: Iustel, 2021, coauthored with Spanish professor David Garciandia Igal), A Liberdade Religiosa do Empregado (3rd ed.
