Julia Naa-Yarley Sarkodie-Mensah, Chief of Staff, Office of the GA Mantse

Julia Sarkodie-Mensah holds a bachelor of arts (honors) degree in history and an LLB. In addition, she earned postgraduate diplomas in international human rights law and criminal procedure, records management, and juvenile justice. She was called to the bar in Botswana in 1973 and to the bar in Ghana in 1998. She practiced law for another thirty years before being called to the bench as Judge of the High Court in Botswana. She was later employed by the Commonwealth Secretariat as a justice reform specialist and a criminal justice expert in Sierra Leone and in the Bahamas. She is currently chief of staff in the office of the king of Accra.
