Sasaki L. George, Senator, Kosrae State Legislature

Sasaki George was raised in Kosrae Island in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). As he grew older, he read the Bible and other religious books. George attended Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas (formerly East Texas State University); Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, Hawaii. He then returned to Kosrae, where he worked as high school teacher and legal service attorney. He is currently a state senator. George was admitted to practice law as an attorney in 2000 by the FSM Supreme Court. He was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kosrae in 2009. He is married to Jessamyn M. Timothy and has seven children and seven grandchildren.
