Ioannis Ktistakis, Judge, European Court of Human Rights (Greece)
Ioannis Ktistakis is a judge at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Prior to that, he was an associate professor of public international law at the Faculty of Law, Democritus University of Thrace in Komotini, Greece; assistant professor in the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey; and a visiting professor at George Washington Law at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He formerly served on the executive board of European Union Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia, on the Greek Equal Treatment Committee, and on the Greek National Commission for Human Rights. He has written more than 70 publications on issues related to immigration law, environmental law, religious freedom law, and public international law.
