Whitney is an emeritus General Authority Seventy. He served from 2001-2020 and was senior president of the Seventy from 2015-2020. Whitney was a partner in the law firm of Call, Clayton & Jensen in Newport Beach, California, from 1981-2001. He presently serves as first counselor in the presidency of The Tabernacle Choir at Tempie Square and is co-chair of the Utah Homelessness Council.
Kathy is a mother, writer, and teacher. She taught composition at junior college and secondary schools in California and Utah. Kathy received her bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of Utah and her master’s degree in linguistics from Azusa Pacific University. She presently serves with her husband with the Tabernacle Choir and on the board of directors of the Stella Oaks Foundation. Kathy and Whitney are the parents of seven children and 31 grandchildren.
