Maksym Vasin

Executive Director, Institute for Religious Freedom
Dr. Maksym Vasin has specialized in human rights activities since 2001. He leads the research and advocacy projects in the Institute for Religious Freedom in Ukraine. He is coauthor of several dozen bills and amendments to laws aimed at protecting and developing religious freedom in Ukraine as well as the author of academic articles on the topic of church-state cooperation and interfaith dialogue. In 2019 he was a fellow of the Religion and Rule of Law program, organized by the International Center for Law and Religion Studies (BYU Law) at the University of Oxford. In 2021 he received a PhD in constitutional law.
