Daniel Bennett is Associate Professor of Political Science at John Brown University and Assistant Director at the Center for Faith and Flourishing. He is the author of Defending Faith: The Politics of the Christian Conservative Legal Movement (Kansas, 2017), and has written elsewhere on the development and dynamics of the Christian legal movement in the United States. His current research focuses on the politics of religious freedom and the influence of group attitudes on support for constitutional rights in America. His popular writing has appeared in Christianity Today, Religion and Politics, The Washington Post, and The Gospel Coalition.
