Bob currently has a part-time law practice. He also served as the Associate Area Legal Counsel for the Church in Europe. He has been on the board of Shelter the Homeless for many years, and has served on the boards of numerous arts organizations. Bob practiced at Durham Jones & Pinegar for 36 years, and and was a partner at Van Cott, Bagley Cornwall & McCarthy. Bob received his JD from BYU. He taught at Cornell University and Iowa State for nine years. He also received a Ph.D. from Cornell University in environmental physiology, and a MS from BYU in zoology. Bob graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in Biology. He is the oldest of 14 children.

Lonnie is an award-winning film writer and now serves as President of the League of Utah Writers, Millcreek Chapter. She taught for many years in elementary school and in college. Lonnie received her Master’s Degree in Education. She and her husband, Bob, have seven children and twenty-three grandchildren – their greatest blessings.
