Allen & Denise Alexander

Allen and his wife, Denise, recently served in the presidency at the Provo MTC. They also served as mission president and companion for the Church in North Carolina. Prior to his church service, Allen was elected Chairman of the Board for Savage Services in 2005. The company provides supply chain solutions in the areas of transportation systems, materials handling, rail solutions, facilities management and related logistics services. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1995, and President of the company in 1987. Allen joined Savage Services in 1978. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a master’s degree in organizational communications and management development.

Denise recently served with her husband at the Provo Missionary Training Center. They also served as President and Companion in the North Carolina mission. Denise graduated from BYU in 1976 with a degree in education and music. She enjoys her 9 children and 28 grandchildren. Allen and Denise love to support the cause of religious freedom.

Lynn Fechser Anderson

Lynn Fechser Anderson graduated from the Brigham Young University with a major in English. Her first experience in education was teaching Freshman English at BYU while her husband, Gary, finished his undergraduate studies. She later earned an M.A. at San Francisco State University. In 1991, Lynn and Gary founded the EBMRF, a foundation to fund research of the disease that took the lives of two of their children. Their three living children have gifted them with ten grandchildren. Both Lynn and Gary have been for many years committed to the cause of religious freedom and have been privileged to be part of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies. After a beautiful and successful life, including 57 years of marriage to Lynn, Gary passed away May 27, 2017 at age 79, following a long, courageous, and optimistic battle with Lewy Body Disease. Gary graduated from Brigham Young University after serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil. He then earned a law degree from the Berkeley Law School. While a partner with a San Francisco law firm, Farella, Braun and Martel, Gary served on the Board of Visitors for the BYU Law School, as chairman of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society for the San Francisco Bay Area, and then International Chairman of the JRC Law Society. Gary was also inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Brent & Cheri Andrus

Brent Andrus is a 1970 graduate of BYU.  He met his wife, Cheri Guhin, at BYU where she was a cheerleader. Cheri graduated in 1969 in elementary education. She then taught school while Brent finished his undergraduate work. After BYU, the Andruses ventured to Chicago, where Brent attended Northwestern University and received his MBA. He subsequently worked for Procter & Gamble, General Mills, and Marriott Corp. In 1991 he formed his own hotel development and management company. Cheri owned and operated three Curves for Women fitness clubs in Utah. Prior to moving to Park City, Utah, in 2001, the Andrus family lived in Chicago, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, England, Boston and Maryland. The Andruses have five children, all of whom graduated…

Bill & Ann Atkin

Bill serves as an Associate General Counsel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is responsible for the international legal affairs of the Church, working closely with four Regional Legal Counsel and thirteen Area Legal Counsel. Formerly, Bill was an international partner in the law firm of Baker & McKenzie for eighteen years. He was also a trial attorney with the Civil Division of the US Justice Department. Bill received a B.A. from Brigham Young University, graduated magna cum laude with a J.D. from Arizona State, and received an LL.M. degree from Columbia University School of Law.

Fredrick & Robyn Axelgard

Recently Fred set up a foundation to support leadership workshops for young Latter-day Saints in Europe. In Washington, DC, he held positions in the US Senate, Georgetown University, State Department, and General Dynamics Headquarters. He helped coordinate Arab-Israeli negotiations for several years. Fred received advanced degrees at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy after he graduated from BYU. As an independent scholar, Fred has written several studies on the Book of Mormon. He and his wife, Robyn, have five children and sixteen grandchildren.

Robyn has served on the Utah Valley Refugees board and now volunteers at Lifting Hands International. Professionally, she taught school in Fairfax County. In the community, Robyn’s efforts on the International School board in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, led to creation of a co-ed high school. Robyn received a degree from BYU with a double major in child development and education.

Gary & Marilyn Baughman

Gary is currently a private investor, having been associated with a number of private equity (and debt) firms over the years. He spent much of his career managing public and private companies including Petmate, Fisher-Price, Tyco Toys, Little Tikes, Evenflo Products, and Stiffel Lamps. He has also served on a variety of public, private, industry, academic, and charitable boards. Throughout his career, Gary has held a number of leadership positions in the Church including Stake President in Western New York and Mission President in Budapest, Hungary. He and Marilyn have been members of the Marriott School’s National Advisory Council (NAC) since 1992.

Marilyn served with her husband from 2009-2012 as he presided over the Hungary Budapest Mission. She is a member and past chairwoman of the Spouse Organization of the Marriott’s NAC. She has served in a number of school and community organizations. Marilyn is a graduate of Brigham Young University. She and Gary are the parents of four children and twelve grandchildren.

Brent & Bonnie Jean Beesley

Brent was Chairman and CEO for 35 years of Heritage Bank, St. George, Utah. Early in his career, he practiced with the Salt Lake City law firm of Ray, Quinney and Nebeker and taught business and real estate law at the University of Utah. During the Reagan Administration, Brent served as the Director of the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, Washington, D.C. He was also the President and CEO of the Farm Credit Corporation of America, Denver, Colorado. He received is JD and MBA from Harvard University, and his BA in Economics from BYU.

Bonnie Jean is President and Chair of the Beesley Family Foundation. She also serves on the Zions Bank Advisory and Envision Utah Boards. She has served on the board of the Utah Symphony and Opera and other civic organizations. Bonnie Jean served on the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees and Utah Board of Regents and represented Utah on the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), serving as chair on all three boards. SLCC awarded her an Honorary Doctorate degree. Bonnie Jean graduated from the University of Utah, and worked as a computer programmer/systems analyst.

Bill & Barbara Benac

Bill is a committed board member several non-profit organizations including ICLRS, the DFW Alliance for Religious Freedom and Human Dignity located in Dallas TX; and Founding Forward which advocates civic and constitutional education for high school youth and teaches across the US. Bill is national Chairman of the Religious Freedom Alliance Council and co-founder of Pathway India, an organization which has educated and rehabilitated 40,000 handicapped and disadvantaged Indian youth. Prior to his retirement, Bill held senior executive positions with global corporations, private equity firms, and as an entrepreneur. Bill earned his bachelor’s and MBA degrees from BYU, his JD from Pace University in New York and is a CMA, CPA and member of the Connecticut and New York state bar associations.

Barbara is a long-time bilingual docent at both the SMU Meadows Museum of Art and the Dallas Museum of Art, and has worked with the Dallas Opera and the local classical radio station to teach about Spanish history and its influence on opera. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature from BYU and Master of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She loves the Romance languages and speaks Spanish, French and Italian. A very active Master Scuba Diver, Barbara has inducted several of her 9 children and 25 grandchildren into diving.

Steven & Brenda Bennett

Steve is the founder and managing partner of Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere In addition to practicing law, and managing a law firm, Steve is an active entrepreneur, and is involved in many other businesses, including construction, real estate development, and technology investments.

Brenda received a degree in Elementary Education from BYU. She taught school for a few years, then stayed home and focused on raising their five children. Steve and Brenda live in North Salt Lake and are now grandparents of four.

Brian & Rachel Bertha

Brian received his JD from Harvard, and his MBA from Swiss Business School (IMD).

Rachel received her Masters in Education from Santa Clara, and her Bachelor’s of Education from BYU. She taught in the public schools.

Clifford & Margo Blair

Clifford is a shareholder in Kirton McConkie’s International section, where he advises businesses and non-profits on all aspects of international operations. He previously served as in-house counsel for the International Monetary Fund (the world’s largest inter-governmental financial institution) and as an international arbitration and transnational litigation attorney in New York City. He has also worked at legal non-profits in Hungary and Ukraine. He received his BA from BYU and JD from Columbia Law and was a full-time missionary in Ukraine.

Margo Blair began her legal career as a prosecutor in New York City, specializing in family law. She has since worked as a solo practitioner, with experience in disputes involving family law, landlord/tenant, collections, as well as estate planning. She is the mother of four children. She served in the Belgium Brussels Mission in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg.

John & Diane Blatter

John and his wife, Diane, were recently released as mission president of the Washington Tacoma Mission. Prior to his mission, John worked with Goldman Sachs & Co. in private wealth management.

Diane recently returned from serving in the Washington Tacoma Mission, where her husband, John, was mission president. They have six children. Diane was born in Palo Alto, California.

James F. & Sharman Blood

Jim worked as an attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area for 28 years before moving to Utah. He was an attorney at the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco and at Carr, McClellan, Ingersoll, Thompson & Horn. Jim was also Senior Vice President and General Counsel for FP International. He is currently an individual investor in public stocks. He received a BA in Economics from BYU, an MA in International Affairs and JD from George Washington University.

Sharman worked as Conference Liaison, assisting in coordinating and organizing conferences for the Center. She previously owned her own bookkeeping business in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sharman earned an MA in Education from Stanford University, and taught high school English and Social Studies to at-risk students. Sharman also worked for the Office of Public Liaison at the White House and as a research assistant for a policy research group in Washington, D.C. She graduated from BYU, where she received her BA in History. Prior to moving to Utah in 2015, she and Jim served as Public Affairs Directors for the San Francisco Stake. Sharman and Jim recently served as missionaries for the Church in assisting refugees in Romania. They also served a mission in Russia. They are the parents of four children.

Bradley & Ann Botteron

Bradley and Ann’s business, Wachter Inc., designs, installs and maintains electrical power and network technology in commercial and industrial facilities across the U.S. Bradley met his wife, Ann, at Brigham Young University, and they were married in 1980. They currently live in the Kansas City area, and have four children and six grandchildren.

Robert & Lonnie Bradley

Bob currently has a part-time law practice. He also served as the Associate Area Legal Counsel for the Church in Europe. He has been on the board of Shelter the Homeless for many years, and has served on the boards of numerous arts organizations. Bob practiced at Durham Jones & Pinegar for 36 years, and and was a partner at Van Cott, Bagley Cornwall & McCarthy. Bob received his JD from BYU. He taught at Cornell University and Iowa State for nine years. He also received a Ph.D. from Cornell University in environmental physiology, and a MS from BYU in zoology. Bob graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in Biology. He is the oldest of 14 children.

Lonnie is an award-winning film writer and now serves as President of the League of Utah Writers, Millcreek Chapter. She taught for many years in elementary school and in college. Lonnie received her Master’s Degree in Education. She and her husband, Bob, have seven children and twenty-three grandchildren – their greatest blessings.

Joseph and Kimberly Brubaker

Joseph assists companies in taking products, services, intellectual property, and businesses globally. With extensive regulatory and litigation experience with governments worldwide, he helps U.S. companies successfully expand internationally and helps foreign companies invest in the U.S. market. He has lived in England, France, Israel, Mongolia, and Russia. In addition to teaching courses on international law, he has practiced law in New York and Washington, D.C., and he currently serves on the Board of the World Trade Center Utah, on the Utah Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, on the Utah District Export Council, and as chair of the Int’l Section of the Utah Bar. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah, his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, and his Master of Laws from Cambridge University.

Kimberly is a proud mother of four children. She has worked as a development officer at Children’s Miracle Network in Salt Lake City, worked for Columbia University as its international development officer in New York, and studied the culinary arts at Le Cordone Bleu in Paris. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Utah in Business Marketing and Political Communications.

Mac & Christeena Brubaker

Mac is President of Tate Brubaker Real Estate and has developed commercial properties in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. He served as the president of the Utah Association of REALTORS. After their last child left home, Mac joined the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team, and has responded to over 240 wilderness rescues. He holds a BES degree from BYU in Civil Engineering (“E” for the five-year Engineering degree). Mac currently serves in a Mid-Single Adult Ward Bishopric.

Teena has written children’s stories and music. She paints, draws, gardens, plays the organ and piano, and enjoys photography. She attended BYU-Hawaii and BYU-Provo, and is a graduate of the Denver School of Floral Design. Teena and Mac have served senior missions in New Mexico and Guatemala. They are the parents of 8 children and 19 grandchildren.

Merill & Nancy Bryan

Merill has served the last few years as the director of the LDS Visitors’ Center at Park City Family Tree Center. Previously, we served as a guest-services missionary on Temple Square. Merill retired as senior vice president and CIO of Union Pacific. He has over 40 years of business experience in the transportation field. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Merill was born in Ogden, Utah.

Nancy has served with her husband for the last few years at the Park City Family Tree Center. Previously, she served as a guest-services missionary on Temple Square. Nancy and Lester are the parents of five children. Nancy was born in Ogden, Utah.

Rick & Evelyn Bryson

Originally from Washington, DC, Rick graduated from BYU in economics and law. He served a Federal Junior Fellowship with the United States Patent Office and the US Department of Commerce in Washington, DC, and a Judicial Clerkship on the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He practiced Appellate, Commercial and Intellectual Property Litigation in Phoenix, Arizona for over 30 years before becoming a “recovering lawyer.” Since 2015, he has variously taught at ASU Law School, Benedictine University, Heritage Academy and LDS Institute of Religion.

Evelyn is an artist, florist, designer, singer, and, her new-found love, pickleballer. A small town girl from northern Arizona, Evelyn met Rick, a city slicker from Washington, DC, at BYU. They have 5 married children and 15 grandchildren. Evelyn and Rick live in Mesa, Arizona.

Robert & Debra Burton

Bob currently works as Vice President, General Counsel, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Burton Lumber and Hardware Co. He has served on numerous corporate, academic, governmental, and nonprofit boards, and served for ten years as the Chairman of the Utah Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee for the Rules of Attorney Professional Conduct. Bob was an associate, partner, and trial attorney with Strong and Hanni from 1977 to 1997. He obtained his BA from the University of Utah in 1973 and his JD degree from BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1977.

Debbie is a certified massage therapist through the Renaissance School of Therapeutic Massage. She also attended numerous courses to acquire knowledge on how to heal more holistically. Debbie has maintained a holistic practice including meta-physical counseling, life coaching, and energetic body work. She and her husband have served together as CES missionaries in Oslo, Norway, and Toronto, Canada. Debbie is a graduate of BYU with a degree in Family Living. She and Bob are the parents of three children and twelve grandchildren.

Douglas & Ann Bush

Doug and Ann served as mission leaders in the Honduras San Pedro Sula West Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2016 to 2019. Currently they are in Buenos Aires, Argentina where Doug works as the Area Legal Counsel for the Church. Previously Doug and Ann assisted in organizing the International Religious Liberty Award Dinner in Washington, D.C. in October each year and its student writing competition. Doug was a partner at Arent Fox LLP in Washington, D.C., specializing in trademark and copyright law. He is the former International Chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and is a member of the Clark Society Advisors. He is a graduate of BYU Law School and a former Court Law Clerk for the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.

Ann is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Washington, D.C. Coalition for the Homeless. She also worked as a bank human resource officer. Ann is a graduate from BYU Idaho. She and Doug have have three children.

Scott and Christine Cameron

Scott retired after twenty-six years at the J. Reuben Clark Law School where he served as Associate Dean. He and Christine served two full-time missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in the Temple Presidency of the Provo City Center Temple. Scott received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stanford University and J.D. from Brigham Young University.

Christine has hosted for the International Center for Law and Religion Studies since its organization. She graduated from Brigham Young University in Russian and Nursing. Christine and Scott have six children and twenty-six grandchildren.

Stacey Sweet Campbell

Stacey works as a volunteer nurse at a clinic for the working poor and at a school for homeless children, and has done nurse education and medical outreach work in Vietnam. She graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in nursing. Stacey was born in Salt Lake City. She and her husband, Dave, have lived in Phoenix, Arizona for thirty-five years. They have five children and eleven grandchildren.

Elder Craig A. & Deborah L. Cardon

Elder Cardon is an emeritus member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as an Assistant Executive Director in the Priesthood Department, as Editor of Church magazines, and in other assignments. He previously served as president of the Africa West Area for the Church. Elder Cardon studied accounting and earned a BA degree from Arizona State University. He received an MPA degree from the Harvard Kennedy School with a Methodological Area of Concentration in Leadership and was named a Littauer Fellow. He married Deborah Louise Dana in 1970, and they are the parents of eight children and have a growing number of grandchildren.

Craig D. & Aimee Cardon

Craig is Executive of the family investment company. He received his JD from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College, and his Bachelors in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Aimee and Craig have six beautiful children. Aimee is a full-time mother. She works part-time as an Arizona representative for CanaVox, a traditional marriage movement.

Paul & Raeanna Cardon

Paul is a principal of Bench Equity, LLC, a private money lending company headquartered in Mesa, Arizona. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona. Paul graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Management (emphasis in Financial Services) and from Arizona State University with a JD. Paul’s greatest joy stems from his family–his wife and six children.

Raeanna graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a BS in Marriage, Family, and Human Development. Her primary focus and joy are nurturing her six children. She can usually be found at her children’s activities being their biggest cheerleader. Raeanna has interest in health and fitness. She has completed two marathons, including the 2016 Boston Marathon.

Richard & Karen Chamberlain

Richard ‘s legal practice has primarily involved the representation of the small communities throughout South Central Utah. He is a registered municipal bond attorney working with the rural communities in Utah to help finance municipal facilities and infrastructure. Richard received his bachelor’s degree in accounting, and went on to obtain a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU. He served a mission in the Italy North Mission during the early 70s under President Dan Jorgensen and his late wife, Elaine. Richard and Karen co-chaired the Central Utah Stirling Scholars program for seven years.

Karen raised seven children while serving in church leadership positions and various civic organizations. She and Richard have directed and participated in community and ward choirs and are proud to admit that their children are more accomplished vocalists and musicians. They met at BYU, where Karen received her bachelor’s degree in education. They are the parents of six daughters and one son and have 27 practically perfect grandchildren.

Sheldon & Joan Child

In 1996, Sheldon became a general authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Church’s Second Quorum of the Seventy. Two years later, he was transferred to the First Quorum of the Seventy. In October 2008, Sheldon was released and was designated an emeritus general authority. He also served as president of the Church’s Salt Lake Temple from 2008 to 2011. Sheldon worked in management at RC Willey for years, and is the former president. He was born in Ogden and raised in Syracuse, Utah.

Joan and her husband, Sheldon were married in 1957, and they are the parents of six children.

William & Patricia Child

Bill serves as Chairman of the Board of RC Willey Home Furnishings. He took the company over in 1954 with one employee, and 40 years later sold the company to Warren Buffet of Berkshire Hathaway. Now sales are approaching $1 Billion. He enjoys golf, swimming and spending time with his family. Bill and Pat spend a lot of time in Hawaii at a resort which they are the major shareholder. Bill and Pat are the proud grandparents of 31 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. They served as directors of the Washington DC Temple Visitors Center for two years and enjoy the opportunity of supporting many charitable organizations and educational programs throughout the country and the state of Utah.

David & Mary Christensen

David is the managing partner of Milestone Holdings, a privately held real estate investment company and is the former co-president of Nearon Enterprises. He is also the former Manager of Acquisitions at Bechtel Investments Realty. David earned his bachelor’s degree in financial planning from Brigham Young University and his master’s degree in Business Administration from Yale School of Management. He has worked with ICLRS since 2002, and served for many years as the Chair of the Center’s International Advisory Council.

Mary studied nutrition as an undergraduate at Brigham Young University. She and David established the David S. and Mary H. Christensen Endowed Fund for the ICLRS to support the Center’s activities and programs associated with Oxford University in England. Mary and David have six children and three grandchildren.

Kimball & Olivia Christianson

Liv worked in communications for a few years before the birth of their first child. She studied communications at BYU — Public Relations and Political Science. She also served in the Texas Houston East Mission. Liv grew up moving around the U.S. and in Germany. Before moving to Utah, she and Kimball lived in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Idaho. They are the parents of four children.

Kimball works as a radiologist for Revere Health. He did a radiology residency at Duke University; and went to medical school at Vanderbilt University. He also attended the University of Utah, graduating in German, where he also played football. While Kimball’s father worked as a BYU religion professor, his family spent time in Jerusalem and Vienna for Study Abroad programs. They eventually moved to Provo; Kimball was born in Florida.

L. Whitney Clayton & Kathy Kipp Clayton

Whitney is an emeritus General Authority Seventy. He served from 2001-2020 and was senior president of the Seventy from 2015-2020. Whitney was a partner in the law firm of Call, Clayton & Jensen in Newport Beach, California, from 1981-2001. He presently serves as first counselor in the presidency of The Tabernacle Choir at Tempie Square and is co-chair of the Utah Homelessness Council.

Kathy is a mother, writer, and teacher. She taught composition at junior college and secondary schools in California and Utah. Kathy received her bachelor’s degree in English education from the University of Utah and her master’s degree in linguistics from Azusa Pacific University. She presently serves with her husband with the Tabernacle Choir and on the board of directors of the Stella Oaks Foundation. Kathy and Whitney are the parents of seven children and 31 grandchildren.

Jordan & Julie Clements

Jordan is a founding partner of Rock Creek Capital, a private equity investment firm based in Salt Lake City. Jordan served as a mission president of the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission for the LDS Church from 2011 to 2014. He graduated with a BA in English from Brigham Young University and received a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School.

Julie obtained her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1979. After graduation, she taught for the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind. She and Jordan are the parents of five daughters. Julie served with her husband from 2011 to 2014 in leading the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission for the LDS Church. She has a great love of music and enjoys serving others.

David & Julie Colton

Dave and his wife, Julie, recently returned from serving as the Directors of the Washington, D.C. Temple Visitors Center. Dave served as Chair of the IAC from April 2018 through January 2023. He was also a student coach at the Law School. He and Julie served as LDS Government Relations missionaries assigned to the United Nations in New York. David worked as the LDS Europe Area Legal Counsel. He retired as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Company, (formerly Phelps Dodge). David was a partner at Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy. He received his J.D. from BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School and his bachelor’s degree from BYU. He has been actively supporting the Center since its formation.

Julie and David recently returned from serving as Directors of the Washington, DC Temple Visitors Center. They also served as LDS Government Relations Missionaries assigned to the United Nations. They created and funded the S. David and Julie Colton Endowed Fund for the ICLRS to support the Center’s activities and programs in Europe. Julie graduated from Brigham Young University. She and David are the parents of nine married children and currently have thirty-three grandchildren.

Phil & Barbara Colton

Phil retired from the U.S. State Department as a Senior Scientist. He was also in the Action Army Reserves for 37 years, retiring as a Colonel. He also served as a Director at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria for a total of 14 years. Phil was one of the staff members who shared in the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the IAEA in 2005. He also worked in the private nuclear fuels industry. Phil received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in Metallurgical Engineering, and did graduate studies at several other universities.

Bobby graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She received her Master of Music in Conducting from the University of Maryland. Bobby has been active in church and community music groups. She has authored a book on the McGlaughlin family of Ohio. Bobby and Phil are the parents of four children and ten grandchildren.

Randy & Lisa Cone

Randy runs the UBS Cone Institutional Consulting Group operating out of Washington, DC. He is the primary financial advisor and investment consultant to fiduciary boards, wealthy families and their family foundations regarding all of the complex issues surrounding their investment portfolios, IPS, and mission statements. He also serves as an investment performance analyst and strategist to a select clientele. Randy is a Certified Investment Management Analyst CIMA and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies, the C&O Canal Trust, and the William O. Douglas Society.

Lisa serves as the Program Director for the National Campaign to Stop Violence (NCSV) and its “Do the Write Thing” Challenge initiative that was established by The Kuwait America Foundation. In that role, she works with leaders across the country as well as government offices in Washington, DC regarding youth violence. When their children young, she was actively engaged in church, school, and community service, experience she now uses in NCSV. Lisa and Randy are parents of six children and seven grandchildren.

Greg & Julie Cook

Greg is a founding executive with doTERRA International, and serves on the Board of Directors for Mentors International. He has lived in Africa, Europe, South East Asia, North America, and recently returned from living in Shanghai, China. For over two decades Greg has developed and managed international opportunities and markets for companies in the health and wellness industry and the direct sales industry. Greg’s passion is in creating business and humanitarian efforts that improve the lives of individuals throughout the world. Greg graduated from BYU in International Relations, with a minor in Scandinavian Studies.

Julie and her family have recently returned from living in Shanghai, China. She is passionate about humanitarian work and is actively engaged in multiple projects in China including cancer recovery, orphanages, and feminine hygiene for the poor. She currently serves as Asia Director for Days for Girls. Julie graduated from BYU majoring in Business Education and minoring in Dance Education and Business Management. Julie and Greg are the parents of five children.

Jim & Sandy Cook

Jim is the president and co-owner of Calva Products, which manufactures milk replacers and calf-care products. He and his wife, Sandy, live in Lodi, California. They were both widowed, and married in 2005. Jim and Sandy currently serve as co-chairs of the Knight Society at Brigham Young University, an organization created to recognize the generosity of University donors. Jim is a native Californian.

Sandy had her first horse at age 7 and road by herself all over their rural community. She attended UC Santa Barbara and finished at UCLA in Analytical Biology. Sandy wanted to be a doctor but married the boy next door, a new MD, and she ran his offices as a multi-specialty medical administrator years later. Sandy built the clinics and his eye surgical center. He died and she was a widow in Provo for 14 years. Jim and Sandy met and married in 2005 after his wife passed away. They have 10 children between them, and 24 grandchildren.

Lew & Barbara Cramer

Lew and his wife, Barbara, have recently been called to serve as diplomatic collaborators for the Church in London. Lew has been the Utah CEO for Colliers International. He is also founding president of the World Trade Center Utah, and serves on its board. He also serves on the International World Trade Center Board. Lew served as Director General of the U.S. Commercial Service under the George H.W. Bush administration. He currently serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards. He also practiced real estate law in Los Angeles and in the San Francisco Bay area. For many years, Lew taught real estate law at the University of Southern California and international business at Georgetown University. He graduated from BYU’s J. Reuben Clark School of Law.

Barbara is a life-long musician, accomplished on the piano, organ, and voice. She sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir from 2007-2014. She grew up in southern California and went to BYU, graduating with a BA in English. Barb and Lew have six children and thirteen grandchildren. They have lived in California, Virginia and now live in Salt Lake City.

Elaine Davis

Elaine and her late husband, Donald, were two of the original founders of Southern Virginia University. They were involved with the National Advisory Council to the BYU Marriott School of Management, where Elaine served as chair of NAC spouses, and was instrumental in establishing the Single Parent Scholarship Fund. She and Donald served a mission to BYU Athletics and was also a member of the BYU Emeriti Alumni Board for five years. Elaine received her degree from BYU in history with a political science minor.

Ralph & Mary Dewsnup

Ralph is a trial attorney and founding member of Dewsnup, King & Olsen law firm in Salt Lake City, where he has practiced law since 1977. He is a retired Brigadier General in the United States Air Force, having served in the Utah Air National Guard for thirty-nine years.

Mary is a former elementary school teacher, and left teaching to be a mother. Mary and Ralph are parents of five children and twenty-five grandchildren.

David Doxey

David’s career has been in real estate development and property management. He stays active with family and loves the temple. He has been a temple sealer for 37 years and has had the privilege of officiating in the marriages of most of his children and many of his grandchildren. David and Joanne have lived in Salt Lake, Phoenix, Barcelona, and Madrid. They served together for several years in Spain, first presiding over the Spain Barcelona Mission in its early days and later as the president and matron of the Madrid Temple. They also served in the presidency of the Salt Lake Temple as counselor and assistant to the matron. David graduated in finance from the University of Utah. He was born and raised in Salt Lake City. He married his high school sweetheart, Joanne Bushman, and they have eight children. Joanne passed away in 2020.

Greg & Monica Drennan

Greg is a partner at Crescendo Properties (dba Shield Storage), and is also a partner at Quick Quack Car Wash. In 2016, he sold LifeStorage, where he was the Director and Acquisitions Adviser in Sacramento, California. He served in various leadership capacities at the company for many years. Previously, he was the Controller at SKK Enterprises, Inc., a Sacramento regional developer and home building company. Greg graduated from Brigham Young University with BS in Business Management, Accounting.

Rick and Janel Durfee

As an attorney, Rick represents high net worth families throughout the country for Multi-Generation Estate and Business Succession Planning, focusing on protecting the family. He is a nationally known speaker, and has been featured at the Money Show, the FreedomFest, and the Financial Planning Association. He is the founding director of Arizona Bank and Trust. Rick has served on the Board of Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and on the Planned Giving Committees for Chandler Regional Hospital, the Arthritis Foundation, and the Advocates Council for the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is the CEO and Chairman of Legacy Global Foundation, Inc. He has served as a Judge Pro Tem in Maricopa County. In addition to his law degree, Rick has a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Language (Japanese/Chinese), and a Master of Arts in Religious Studies.

Janel is an Investment Advisor Representative and COO with Wealth Resource Investment Advisors. She is also a Cranial Sacral Therapist (CST). Janel is President of Gilbert Fine Arts Association, and has been the producer of Gilbert Fine Arts Association youth productions since 2003. She has been a volunteer Vice-President of Legacy Global Foundation since 2001. She graduated from ASU in Family Studies. Janel and Rick have been heavily involved in the Scouting program for many years. They are the proud parents of eight children and grandparents of 12.

Cole & Louise Durham

W. Cole Durham, Jr., is the founding director of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies. He recently retired from BYU, yet still continues his ongoing efforts at the Center. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Professor Durham has had a distinguished career in comparative law scholarship, with specific emphasis on comparative constitutional and church-state law. He currently serves as president of the International Consortium for Law and Religion Studies, based in Milan, Italy, and is co-editor-in-chief of the Oxford Journal of Law and Religion. He has authored numerous important works in the field of law and religion. He was awarded the International First Freedom Award by the First Freedom Center in Richmond, Virginia; he also received an honorary doctorate from Ovidius University in Constanţa, Romania.

Paul & Maren Durham

Paul and his wife, Maren, recently returned from presiding over the California Oakland/San Francisco Mission. Prior to their call, Paul was the Director and General Counsel at Durham Jones & Pinegar, a law firm he founded in 1991. Paul received his B.A. (1977) and J.D. (1980) from the University of Utah. He was chair of the alumni board at the U Law School at the same time he taught at BYU Law School as an adjunct professor. Paul practices in Real Estate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Maren J. Durham – Maren attended the University of Utah and worked at ZCMI Department Store as the Buyer in the Gift Department. She traveled to New York and Los Angeles frequently, and made many trips to Asia, India and Europe for product development. She stopped working to be a full-time mother of four children. She has volunteered for many years teaching art each week in elementary school classes.

Richard & Christena Durham

Richard is the founder and chairman of Aries Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm. Prior to his private equity investment endeavors, Rick spent several years at Huntsman Corporation in various positions, including chief financial officer and president. He later served as chairman and CEO of Pliant Corporation, a major flexible packaging company. Rick has been involved as an investor and board member of numerous companies and has also been involved with several charitable organizations. Rick is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Christena serves on the boards of several charitable organizations, including the Huntsman Foundation, The Road Home, the Huntsman World Senior Games, the Carmen Pingree School for Autism, and the Moran Eye Center, and is committed to serving others. Christena is the mother of seven children and grandmother to several grandchildren.

Martin & Allyson Egbert

Martin is a managing partner of Nevada West Partners, a Las Vegas based multi-family development and managing group. He has been involved in self-storage, single family, and/or multi-family development in California, Chicago, Boston, Texas, Utah and Las Vegas. Martin is also a member of the advisory board of the Ponseti International Association for the Treatment of Congenital Clubfoot at the University of Iowa. Since 1999, the Ponseti method has become the mainstream initial method for children born with congenital clubfoot throughout the world. He has traveled extensively with PIA to promote this effective non-surgical method. Martin received his MBA from BYU. He was raised in Chicago.

Allyson has followed her husband in his different business ventures throughout the country. She earned her political science degree at BYU, and served as an ASBYU Vice President. While at BYU, she toured several years with the BYU folk dancers. Allyson lived for a year and a half in France while her father did engineer work for Stanford, and then moved to Utah. Allyson was born in Sunnyvale, California. Martin and Allyson have six children.

Chris & Holly Ensign

Chris Ensign is dedicated to family life and entrepreneurship, originally from Plano, Texas, and now calling the beautiful town of Highland, Utah, home. With a bustling household that includes a set of energetic 6-year-old twin boys and a delightful pair of 3-year-old girl twins, Chris and his wife Holly thrive on the joys and challenges of parenthood. Together, they enjoy exploring the great outdoors, engaging in exciting kid-friendly activities, and embarking on memorable family adventures. Professionally, Chris is a partner in a real estate development company headquartered in Holladay, Utah, specializing in creating vibrant mixed-use communities across the region.

Holly, a native of Reno, Nevada, was raised amidst the splendor and activities of Lake Tahoe, alongside her seven siblings. After graduating from UVU, Holly embarked on a journey of love and family. Married and now a devoted mother of two sets of twins, ages 6 and 3, Holly’s life is a whirlwind of love, learning, and joy as she nurtures her growing family. She actively participates in choirs and finds fulfillment in music. Holly enjoys volunteering and devotes her time serving others in her community.

David & Christina Foote

David and his wife, Christina, were recently released from serving a mission for the Church in Frankfurt, Germany. They have owned and operated businesses in Reno and Las Vegas. David was a general contractor in Reno for twenty years; and they were business owners in Las Vegas for another twenty years. They served as Georgia Atlanta Mission President and companion from 2015 to 2018. David and Christina also served together in Frankfurt Germany in the Europe Area Office.

Christina and her husband, David, have six children and twenty-one grandchildren who are spread across the country. This is where Christina and David have spent much of their time; they are the joy of their lives. Christina is an artist, enjoying both portraiture and landscape.

Bryson & Jan Garbett

Bryson is president and founder of Garbett Homes. He started his construction career as an 18 year-old framer. In 1988, after graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in History, Bryson decided to start his own company. After years of perseverance, Garbett Homes has become one of the largest and most innovative homebuilders in the state. Bryson and his family have made a difference in the world by donating to various causes including supporting education for children in Mexico and women in Iraq. Bryson is also now engaging Salt Lake City’s homelessness problems with other concerned community members.

Jan serves on several boards and is a founder or supporter of multiple non-profits addressing needs both locally and abroad, such as community theatres, choirs, PTAs, Pioneer Redd-rock settlement building family, women in Iraq, and kids needing education in Mexico. Jan studied English at BYU, and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in English. Jan and Bryson have eight children and seven grandchildren.

Sue Garff

Sue served as the Matron of the Manhattan New York Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also served with her late husband, Blair, where he was the mission president of the Nigeria Enugu Mission. In Scarsdale, New York, Sue was a member of the Junior League of Northern Westchester County, and chairman of fundraising. She graduated from Southern Illinois University in Health and Physical Education. Sue attended the University of Utah. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sue and Blair are the parents of four sons and two daughters, and grandparents of twenty. Blair passed away in the spring of 2020 due to Coronavirus complications. He had retired as Managing Director of Morgan Stanely Investment Management.

Larry Miner and Peggy Gibson

Larry and Peggy are currently serving a mission in Manchester, England. Larry also served as a counselor in the Young Men general presidency of the Church. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science and information science from Brigham Young University. Larry’s professional career has spanned both corporate and entrepreneurial organizations; he has started several technology companies and most recently worked as senior executive vice president and CTO/CIO of a Fortune 100 corporation in the healthcare industry. He and his late wife, Shirley, are the parents of six children.

Peggy was the managing director of materials management for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, responsible for the global supply chain operations including purchasing, printing, warehousing and distribution, Beehive Clothing, travel, fleet, and food services. Previously she was EVP and CFO of iQor, and formerly CFO of global travel business services at American Express. Previously, she was CFO of the global technologies business and vice president of the business to business group at American Express. Prior to American Express, Peggy was vice president for the global enterprise technologies business at Goldman Sachs. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Connecticut. She and Larry were married in June of 2022, and are enjoying traveling together, and spending time with their extended family.

Doris Gillette

Doris has been involved in church service throughout her life. She has traveled throughout the world. She is a master sewer and genealogist. Doris and her late husband, David, served as mission leaders in Boston, Massachusetts, at Salt Lake Temple Square, and the Mission Presidency of the Provo Missionary Training Center. David was a retired lawyer in the firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall, amd McCarthy. He was a mission president in Boston, Massachusetts as well as at Salt Lake Temple Square. He was also in the Mission Presidency at the Provo MTC.

Erik & Kristin Gunnerson

Erik is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Signal Peak Capital Management (SPCM), an alternative asset manager focused on broadly syndicated loans and structured credit investments. SPCM is a wholly owned subsidiary of ORIX Corporation USA. Gary is a member of ORIX USA’s Management Committee and has been with the firm for over 14 years, including five years as Co-Head of the Mariner Leveraged Credit team. Gary holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a BS in International Finance from Brigham Young University.

Kristin earned a degree in graphic design from BYU. She worked at Martha Stewart Weddings for six years as an art director and currently is a freelance designer. She and Erik have 3 children.

David & Jennifer Harden

Dave founded Summit Global Investments, an investment firm focused on risk management in 2010. He currently is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer, where he oversees multiple investment strategies, including seven mutual funds. Prior to starting SGI, he worked for Ensign Peak Advisors, Wachovia, Wellington and Fidelity Investments. Dave received his BA from Boston College and his Master of Science in Computer Science from Boston University.

Jen currently focuses the majority of her time with their children and grandchildren. She also keeps herself busy as a board member of Summit Global Investments. She volunteers much of her time at the public schools. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, hiking, and lively political discussions. She is an avid reader and participates in a variety of study groups.

Richard & Ann Herlin

Rich is a retired partner of Deloitte. He began his career with Deloitte in Salt Lake City and has worked in New York City; Atlanta; Wilton, Connecticut; Dallas; Philadelphia; Chicago, and Midland, Michigan. He worked in the audit practice and focused on serving large, multinational companies. Rich graduated from BYU with a Masters of Accountancy. Since retiring, Rich and Ann have served Church missions in the Europe East Area (based in Moscow), and in Romania, serving Ukrainian refugees.

Ann volunteers with Rising Star Outreach to help those with leprosy. She enjoys quilting, reading, and playing the piano. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her family. Ann taught school for eight years. She graduated from BYU in Elementary Education. Ann was raised in Orem, Utah; she and Rich are the parents of four children.

Broc & Lori Hiatt

Broc is the owner and managing partner of the private investment firm, Cardon Hiatt Companies, with dealings in real estate, finance, petroleum, hospitality, agricultural, and business investments throughout the United States. He received degrees in Business Management and Accounting at Brigham Young University and Arizona State University. Broc has served on various community boards and as the trustee of several national nonprofit organizations.

Lori and Broc are the parents of six children and eight grandchildren. Lori is active in CanaVox, a traditional marriage effort. She received her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Early Childhood Education, and her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University.

Grif & Brittny Hiatt

Grif is the CFO for the Cardon Hiatt and Cardon Bowden family offices as well as one of the founders of Bench Equity, LLC, a multi-state commercial lender. He was raised by his mother and five siblings in Mesa, Arizona. He attended Arizona State University where he received a degree in accountancy. He continues to devote time to youth organizations and enjoys influencing the younger generation positively. With his extra time, he enjoys being active and spending time with his five children.

Curtis & Irene Hill

Curtis and Irene are currently serving a mission in Texas. Curtis spent the first half of his career at Northwest Airlines in various operations and finance roles. Curtis and Irene were then the lead investors in the start-up of Imagine Learning, Inc. in Provo, Utah, a company that develops software to teach English to elementary-aged students in the United States. Curtis is a certified pilot and loves to fly. He received his BA and MBA from BYU. Curtis was raised in San Jose, California.

Irene’s chosen career is to be a mom of six children and now a grandmother of five. She graduated from BYU with a BA and earned her MBA from the University of Minnesota. Irene enjoys travel, teaching, and serving in the Church.

Scott & Carol Hill

Scott is a retired chemical engineer who worked for Los Alamas National Laboratory, BYU, USU, and had a consulting firm. He currently enjoys programming mobile apps – “Family History Escape Room” and “Temples in Color” are just a few.

Carol earned her Family History degree when Scott was working at BYU. She has her own YouTube channel with videos about tips on using Family Search and genealogy in general. She served a church service mission for six years with FamilySearch. They are the parents of six children.

Clark & Kathleen Hinckley

Clark worked most of his career in the commercial banking industry, including as a senior officer of Zions First National Bank, where he continues to serve as an advisory director. He is the author of “Christopher Columbus: A Man Among the Gentiles,” and editor of “Rescued: The Courageous Journey of Mary Goble Pay.” Clark is a graduate of BYU in mathematics, and the Harvard Business School. He was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Kathleen served with Clark as mission leader in the Spain Barcelona Mission; she and Clark also served as matron and president of the Tijuana Mexico Temple. She co-authored with Clark “Taking off the Tag: A Transition Guide for Returned Missionaries.” Kathleen graduated from BYU in fashion design and worked in the fashion industry in Boston and New York before her children were born. Kathleen was born in Salt Lake City and raised in Dallas, Texas. They are the parents of six children.

Robert & Cheryl Horne

Robert is a CPA, a real estate broker, and a new car dealership owner. He attended Brigham Young University, and graduated from ASU with an accounting degree. He also served in the Arizona National Guard. Robert has served in many leadership capacities in the Church. He was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona.

Cheryl assisted her husband, Robert, with their businesses. She worked in a law firm for seven years, and attended college. Cheryl has served in many leadership capacities in the Church. She was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She and Robert are the parents of eight children.

Roger & Mauna Sue Hunt

Roger was active in the law for 46 years, 22 years as a trial attorney, 8 years as a U.S. Magistrate Judge, and 24 years as a U.S. District Judge (serving as Chief Judge of the District of Nevada for 4 1/2 years) before taking an inactive senior status in 2016. He also served 7 years, by Presidential appointment, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation. Roger and his wife have served 3 missions: temple mission to D.C. Temple, training judges in Sri Lanka, and most recently in the Area Office of General Counsel in the Africa Southeast Area. He has served as a Patriarch, temple ordinance worker, and a Sealer. He received his JD from George Washington University School of Law, and his BA degree in History from BYU.

Mauna Sue returned in December 2019 from their mission in the Africa Southeast Area where she was involved in processing missionary applications for the Area Presidency. She also served with Roger in the D.C. Temple and in Sri Lanka where she assisted her husband in training judges in judicial case management and mediation. Mauna Sue served as an ordinance worker in the Las Vegas Temple and the Johannesburg Temple and now serves in the sealing office in the Las Vegas Temple. She was born in Logan, Utah and was reared in Las Vegas. Mauna Sue and Roger have 6 children, 19 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Nan Hunter

Nan founded the Almaden Country School, a private non-profit school in San Jose, California. She has served as a board member to several non-profit organizations in the Bay Area. She is the author of LDS humn #154, “The Diary of Howard Hunter, age 10,” and has been recognized for her poetry and biographies. Nan graduated from BYU in Zoology. She and her late husband, Richard, have eight children and 36 grandchildren. Richard, and Nan as his companion, served as Church Mission President in Auckland, New Zealand and President of the Oakland California Temple.

Richard Hunter practiced law in California for 30 years specializing in asset protection, estate planning, and taxation. He is affiliated with the Howard W. Hunter Mormon Studies Council at Claremont College. Richard served as Mission President for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Auckland, New Zealand and President of the Oakland California Temple. He graduated in accounting from BYU and received his J.D. From Berkeley Law School.

Nan and Richard have eight children and 36 grandchildren. They had been married for 60 years when Richard died at age 83 on September 9, 2021.  [See his obituary here.]

King & Diane Husein

King is the Chairman and CEO of Span Construction and Engineering, the country’s largest metal building construction company. The company specializes in the engineering and construction of large steel buildings. It is also the exclusive builder for Costco wholesale worldwide. King received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bombay. He also received his master’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Brigham Young University. King was born in Bombay, India.

Diane is the vice president of Legacy Freedom Management, LLC. She is from Star Valley, Wyoming. Diane and King are the parents of four children.

Eric & Kaye Jackson

Eric and his wife, Kaye, have been involved for years in planning and hosting African conferences with ICLRS. Eric served with Kaye as mission president over the Uganda-Ethiopia-South Sudan-Rwanda Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They had also served as the Area Public Affairs Directors for the Africa South East Area for the Church. Eric formed the Jackson Group of Peterbilt stores. Prior to that formation, he had purchased Peterbilt franchises, as well as purchasing a company from General Motors. Eric received his bachelor’s degree from Central Oklahoma University; he was born in Oklahoma.

Kaye has been involved with the family businesses throughout the years. She served with her husband, Eric, on two LDS missions in Africa for six years. Kaye attended Central Oklahoma University. She was born in rural south west Oklahoma. Kaye and Eric are parents of six children and 21 grandchildren.

Mike & Jean Jensen

Mike worked for the Office of General Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 2001. In that capacity, the Jensen’s lived in Moscow, Russia, Hong Kong, China and Frankfurt, Germany. Mike worked in private practice for many years in Los Angeles and San Diego. He also clerked for the Ninth Circuit. Mike received a J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU, and a bachelor’s degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He was raised in Bellevue, Washington, and born in Sacramento, California.

Jean taught in the English Department at Ricks College and BYU. She received her master’s and bachelor’s degree from BYU in American Literature. Jean was raised in Oakley, Idaho, and was born in Burley, Idaho. She and Mike have six children and twelve grandchildren and currently live in Orem, Utah.

Mark & Christi Jensen

Mark attended MIT and Harvard Business School. After many years in the enterprise software industry, He started a specialty finance company that makes commercial loans to auto dealers and auto finance companies. Mark and Christi are committed to supporting organizations that prioritize defending religious freedom. They have supported the church’s educational institutions for many years, prioritizing online education and student financial aid.

Christi attended Texas Tech University and has spent most of her time raising their children. Alec, the youngest, has severe Autism. Christi started a home for him in Provo and travels between Texas and Utah to manage Alec’s staff and home. Mark and Christi grew up in Lubbock, Texas and were in Primary together. Christi and Mark have four children and six grandchildren.

Glendon “Woody” & Page Johnson

Woody spent his law career as a corporate finance attorney in Houston, Texas and Washington, D.C. He is the owner of Castle Valley Ranches (ranching) and Castle Valley Outdoors (Orvis-endorsed wing shooting operation) in Emery, Utah. Woody received an Honors BA in economics from the University of Utah and a JD from the University of Texas Law School. He serves as a director of the Waddell & Reed Ivy Funds.

Page is a freelance writer and photographer who has worked for the BYU press and National Public Radio and who occasionally writes for the Church News and Meridian Magazine. She has a BA in journalism from BYU and an MA in communications from the University of Utah. She and Woody are the parents of three daughters and five grandchildren.

Dan Jorgensen

Dan graduated from Jordan High School, BYU, and Harvard Business School. He joined First National City Bank of New York in 1965, working in NYC, Italy, Germany, and Utah. In 1986, Dan purchased a family ranching business in Fishlake National Forest. He was recruited in 1987 by the CEO of AIG to resolve third world debt and special finances. Dan’s success with sovereign debt led him to Moscow, Russia where he founded the Russian American Investment Bank and oversaw AIG’s business in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. He later created Jorgensen Associates in Moscow. Dan and Elaine served in many Church callings. They opened the Italy North Mission, 1971-74. Later in Dusseldorf, while at Trinkaus & Burkhardt, he was called to be the Regional Representative for East Germany and Switzerland. Dan served a mission to East Germany/North Germany, 1958-61.

Elaine passed away January 3, 2024. She graduated from the University of Utah, and earned a Master of Music Degree from Manhattan School of Music followed by a three-year Special Doctoral Studies Fellowship from Juilliard School of Music in New York. Later in life she was awarded a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Manhattan School of Music in Flute Performance. Elaine and Dan raised five beautiful children, all born in Europe.

Susan Kiser

Susan is active in church affairs and being a mother. She is grateful to be a part of the IAC in helping promote religious freedom throughout the world. In April of 2018, Susan’s husband, Bart, passed away while skiing of a sudden cardiac event. Susan taught at Bryant Jr. High School for six years, prior to raising her four children. She also served as a welfare services mission in Chile, and at the Utah State Department of Health. Susan graduated from BYU with her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in the health field. She was raised in the Bay Area and was born in Salt Lake City.

Heber Jacobsen & Christine Lake

Heber is the owner of Jacobsen Investment Company, LLC, a real estate development business. The company was established in 1952 and incorporated in Utah.

Dennis & Cynthia Lange

Dennis Lange is a nephrologist. In 2021, he and his wife, Cynthia Lange, accepted an assignment as Co-Directors of an ICLRS initiative to the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. Dr. Lange worked with Kidney Specialists Medical Corp from 1997-2016. He also served as Medical Director of Lifeline Dialysis Service during that same time. He was Medical Director for Montebello Dialysis Clinic and DaVita Kenneth Hahn Plaza Dialysis Clinic for many years. Prior to that he was a physician with Kidney Specialists Medical Group. Dr. Lange received an MD from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BS in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently pursuing an MPH from the University of California, Berkeley.

Cynthia Juárez Lange is an attorney. In 2021, she and her husband, Dennis Lange, accepted an assignment as Co-Directors of an ICLRS initiative to the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. Cynthia was a Managing Partner of Worldwide Executive Committee — Fragomen Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy from 1986 to 2020. She was an adjunct Professor of Law for Southwestern University School of Law and served as a trial attorney for the US Department of Justice – Immigration and Naturalization Service. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the National Immigration Law Center & IJG as well as on the Board of Directors for Days for Girls. From 2010 to 2021, she was the Program Chair for the Practicing Law Institute Immigration Symposium. Cynthia received her JD from Southwestern University School of Law and her BA in Political Science from Brigham Young University.

Chris & Erlynn Lansing

Chris and Erlynn are currently serving as Church Hosting Directors. Chris has been the C.O.B. of Lansing Building Products from 2019-2020, and was the President and C.E.O. for the past twenty years. The company operates seventy-five branch warehouses in thirty states across the country. It sells specialty building products to the professional contractor. Chris is the President of the Ri chmond Chapter of Rotary, Council President of Boy Scouts of America, and Chairman of Collegiate School. He has served as bishop, stake president, Area Seventy, and mission president for the Church. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from BYU.

Erlynn served with her husband, Chris, in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission, where he was president. Erlynn was the president of Parents’ Association at the Madeira School in Virginia. She taught seminary and institute for twenty years. She also worked at the White House for four years. Erlynn and Chris are the parents of four children.

Jim & Allyson Larkins

Jim is a portfolio manager at Global Investors in Salt Lake City, Utah where he has worked since 1995. He specializes in equity research for Small Cap value investing. Prior to his career at Wasatch, he worked as a system consultant for what is now Accenture. He also worked for a startup technology company in the data storage industry. Jim received his BA in Economics and a Master of Business Administration from BYU.

Allyson currently focuses her time on their family of three children. She has taught and choreographed for ballet schools in the Salt Lake area. She danced for Ballet West professionally for 11 years, finishing her career as a soloist dancer. She received a BA from the University of Utah in Ballet.

Justin & Tahna Lee

Justin is the Vice President of Chung and Associates. He is also the owner of Greenscape Storage. Justin graduated in Construction Management at Brigham Young University.

Tahna is a doTerra Essential Oils distributor and a health coach. She is a home school mom for their four children. Tahna graduated in Family Science from Brigham Young University.

Helen Leon

Helen lives in Central Florida where she seeks to make a difference by supporting the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She is on the Arnold Palmer Medical Foundation Board and the Orlando Health Foundation Board. She also serves on the President’s Leadership Council at Brigham Young University. Helen established the Edward Joseph Leon and Helen Hall Leon Endowed Fund for the ICLRS to support the Center’s activities and programs in the Middle East and Islamic World. Helen was born and raised in Canada.

David & Nancy LeSueur

David is the retired founder and chief executive officer of LeSueur Investments. He and his wife, Nancy, were recently released from serving as counselor in the Mission Presidency at the Provo Mission Training Center. He also served as the president of the Gilbert Arizona Temple, an Area Seventy, and as President of the Philippines Manila Mission. David has been self-employed in the family’s farming endeavors of the hay and pecan industries. They are producers, wholesalers, retailers, truckers, brokers, and own their own chain of retail feed stores. They are also land bankers and real estate developers. David worked in the Health Care Industry and was Executive Vice President and Board member of a large HMO. He received his B.S. and MBA from BYU.

Nancy was recently released as the Matron of the LDS Church’s Gilbert ArizonaTemple and served with her husband as he presided over the Philippines Manila Mission for the Church. Nancy graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Math Education. She and David have seven children and 22 grandchildren.

Neil & Denise Lindberg

Neil, an attorney, is a Senior Fellow at the International Center for Law and Religion Studies (ICLRS). From 2018-21, Neil and his wife, Denise, represented ICLRS and Latter-day Saint Charities at the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. Prior to serving as a Senior Fellow, Neil practiced land use and municipal law in Maryland and Utah for many years. He has served on the J. Reuben Clark Law School Alumni Board and on the board of the Utah Land Use Institute. In addition to a Juris Doctor, Neil holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration degrees from Brigham Young University.

Denise is currently a Utah Senior District Judge. She and her husband Neil were called to serve at the Organization of American States in Washington, DC, where they represented ICLRS and Latter-day Saint Charities until December 2021. Denise was also appointed to the district court bench in the Third Judicial District. Prior to that appointment, she practiced appellate and healthcare law in Washington, DC. Denise served on the Young Women’s General Board of the Church. She clerked at the US Supreme Court and the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Denise received her J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from J. Reuben Clark Law School, and received her Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Utah, and her BA from BYU. Denise is a native of Havana, Cuba.

David & Bianca Lisonbee

David founded 4Life Research, LLC in 1998 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. He was named one of Utah’s Entrepreneurs of the Year, and has secured a record list of patents. He was awarded the I.N. Blokhina Award from the Russian Federation in honor of his commitment to Transfer Factor research, patents, and innovative production methods. David is currently serving on the Young Men’s General Advisory Council for the Church. He and his wife, Bianca, who recently passed away, served in Salvador, Brazil, where he was mission president; they also served a mission in Milan, Italy. David received his MBA and bachelor’s degrees from Brigham Young University.

Bianca, who recently passed away, was born aboard an Italian ocean liner as her parents were coming from Italy to America. She was named Bianca after part of the ship’s name, the S.S. Conte Biancamano. Bianca grew up in Virginia. She graduated with a BA from BYU and was named the Best Actress of the Year for her performance as Anne in their stage production of The Diary of Anne Frank. She and her husband served an 18 month mission for the Church in Milan, Italy working with young adults and a three year mission to Salvador, Brazil. Bianca headed up Foundation 4Life, the humanitarian arm of their company, 4Life Research. They are the parents of 5 children and 13 grandchildren.

Karen Lundquist

Karen’s career was focused on motherhood and supporting her husband’s professional pursuits. She and her late husband, Kent, served missions for the Church in both Louisiana and Sweden. They have seven children and thirty-five grandchildren. Kent passed away on August 28, 2023.
Kent had spent the majority of his career in entrepreneurial pursuits. He also spent over a decade as Director of Finance, and then Chief Deputy County Auditor in Salt Lake County Government. Kent had also worked for KPMG, an international accounting firm based in Los Angeles, and was licensed as a CPA. He acquired a degree in Banking and Finance and an MBA from the University of Utah.

Larry & Susan Lunt

Larry’s business career includes Key Property Management, Lunt Capital Management, oil and gas development and several successful businesses. He has served in the Utah Legislature, Board of Trustees of Southern Utah University and Vice Chairman of Boy Scouts of America. Larry retired as a Brigadier General after 36 years of service in the Air Force. He served as LDS Louisville Kentucky Temple President and Kentucky Louisville Mission President. Larry received a Juris Doctorate and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Utah.

Susan has been involved with the family business throughout the years. She served for six years with her husband in Louisville Kentucky as Matron of the LDS Louisville Temple, and Kentucky Louisville Mission “Mother.” Susan graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Susan and Larry are the parents of six married children and 25 grandchildren.

John & Laurie Maddux

John and Laurie are currently serving as Church mission leaders in Costa Rica. John serves as the CEO of Sunstone Two Tree (“Sunstone”), an owner, operator, renovator, developer, and fund manager of multifamily and residential rental housing communities. He has also been the President of Sunstone Partners, LLC. John has participated in over $25 billion in real estate transactions. He also served as a founder and shareholder of the law firm Nevers, Palazzo, Maddux & Packard, PLC. He practiced law with O’Melveny & Myers LLP. John received his J.D. from BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management-finance from BYU’s Marriott School of Management.

Laurie graduated with a B.S. from BYU in Secondary Education. Laurie enjoys playing tennis, being with people, and planting and tending a garden. She loves to remodel homes, and seems to always have a housing renovation project going on. Laurie and John love to travel. They are the parents of three sons, and have four grandchildren.

Stan & Susan Martineau

Stan is an attorney with Martineau, PLLC in Mesa. He recently served as Area Legal Counsel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Africa and Mexico. He also served as a mission president for the LDS Church in Puerto Rico from 2007-2010. He practiced medical litigation law in Phoenix, Arizona from 1976-2006. Stan was also a Combat Interrogator in the United States Army in Saigon, Vietnam from 1969-1970. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the J. Reuben Clark School at Brigham Young University in 1976.

Susan is the wife and devoted companion of her husband, Stan. Susan and Stan are the parents of ten children and have thirty grandchildren.

Carlos & Vania Martins

Carlos is the CEO of Sforza Holding, a family private equity from Brazil which owns and manages Mundo Verde, a chain of 400 natural products stores, Ronaldo Academy a chain of soccer academies, Taco Bell franchising in Brazil, and Wise Up Language Schools. He wrote several books among others “Awaken the Millionaire Within”, “Dreams Have no Limits”, and “From Zero to One Million”. Carlos also served as president of the Brazil Joao Pessoa Mission for the LDS Church. He studied at Brigham Young University, where he received a degree in Computer Science and Statistics. Carlos was born in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.

Vania and Carlos are the parents of six children.

Mike & Kelly Maxfield

Mike has spent his career in accounting and finance management positions at Arthur Andersen LLP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and as Treasurer on the board of directors at iFoster, a non-profit specializing in providing resources and opportunities for foster children. He received his Masters and Bachelors of Accountancy degrees at Brigham Young University in 1992.

Kelly graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family Health Sciences and a minor in Gerontology. Prior to graduating from BYU, Kelly served a mission in the England Leeds Mission and afterwards studied at the BYU Jerusalem Center. Kelly is currently a ward missionary and enjoys raising their four children.

Karl David & Lora Lee McAllister

David’s career focused mostly on Heathcare. He was the co-founder of a hospital management company which managed/owned 40 hospitals in rural communities, serving on the Board of Directors of several of those hospitals. Late in his career, he was a co-founder of a firm which owned 35 assisted living facilities, many of which focused on the care and treatment of patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. David was active in Scouting, earning the Silver Beaver Award. He graduated from Brigham Young University in accounting and is a CPA.

Lora and her husband, David, are members of the President’s Leadership Council and served as national co-chairs for BYU-TV fundraising for six years. They have served two missions in Sydney, Australia and on Temple Square. Lora was a second grade teacher for two years before starting a new career – motherhood. Her love for teaching was practiced not only in the home with their children, but she has had numerous teaching and leadership positions in her church responsibilities. She graduated from Brigham Young University in elementary education. Lora and David have three children and are grandparents of nine grandchildren.

Jonathan & Jeanette McEachran

Jon and Jeanette have invested in residential, commercial and industrial real estate across Ontario and in student housing in Rexburg, Idaho. They developed a successful industrial rail service center where they specialized in switching and storing railcars and transloading Hazmat goods for Exxon Mobil, Shell, and other neighboring manufacturers. In 2017 they sold the VIP group of companies. Jon started VIP Rail with his father in Sarnia, Ontario Canada. Jon is active in politics and continues to volunteer on several not-for-profit boards. After graduation, He worked in the insurance industry. Jon received his BS in Political Science, minor in History, and a certificate in International Relations from the University of Utah; and also graduated from Ricks College.

Jeanette has a passion for natural medicine and homeopathic practices. She is a stay at home mom. Together they are raising their five children between the ages of five and twenty. She and Jon started off managing properties while they were students at the University. After graduation, Jeanette worked in real estate.

Reid & Melanie Moon

Reid is an antiquarian book dealer who specializes in rare Mormon books, documents, early Bibles [1250-1899 AD] and important historical books and artifacts. He has traveled over a million miles, to 45 of the 50 states, and all over Europe, North and South America, tracking down these treasures. Reid is also a regular guest on the Glenn Beck Program. He graduated from BYU in 1985.

Melanie and her husband, Reid, are the parents of eight children and have five grandchildren. She enjoys traveling with Reid to book fairs around the world. Melanie grew up in California.

Doug & Laurie Moore

Doug has been a real estate investor for the past fifteen years. He was a stockbroker at Goldman Sachs and Robertson Stephens in San Francisco, California. He received his MBA from Brigham Young University. Doug was born in Portland, and raised in Washington, and Long Island, New York.

Laurie is a real estate agent. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island in English, and her MBA from the University of Utah. Laurie spent years volunteering in schools and church. Doug and Laurie were high school sweethearts. They have four children and thirteen grandchildren.

Rulon & Jacquelin Munns

Rulon and Jacque recently served a mission for the Church as Public Relations Specialists in Switzerland. Rulon is the Founder and Managing Shareholder of Bogin Munns and Munns, P.A. for forty years. He served as an Area Seventy for the LDS Church, and was President of the LDS Japan Sapporo Mission. He is currently serving a a stake patriarch. Rulon received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, and graduated with his bachelors degree from Brigham Young University.

Jacque has been actively involved with the “Feeding Children Everywhere” organization. She served in their stake’s Public Affairs activities. Jacque graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. She and Rulon are the parents of five children.

David & Linda Nearon

David, an attorney in the David A. Nearon Professional Law Corporation, is a certified specialist of probate, estate planning and trust law. David attended the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, and received a BS degree from The Haas School of Business at Berkeley, a JD from the University of San Francisco, and an MS in business at San Jose University. David was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Linda has a passion for oil painting, and is an award-winning artist. She and David served a mission for the LDS Church in Moscow, Russia. Linda graduated from the University of Utah, and was born and raised in Salt Lake City. Linda and David reside in California and have four children and twelve grandchildren.

David & Tiffany Nearon

David Nearon, Jr. practices law in California with offices in Walnut Creek and Palo Alto. He also serves as a corporate director of Nearon Enterprises, a private multi-state commercial real estate investment and development company. David is designated as a Certified Specialist by the California Board of Legal Specialization in probate, estate planning and trust law. He received his J.D. from the J. Rueben Clark Law School at BYU, his MBA from the Marriott School of Management at BYU, his bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of California, Berkeley.

Tiffany currently teaches early morning seminary for the LDS Church. She served a church mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tiffany graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English. She grew up in Los Angeles, California. Tiffany and David are the parents of four children.

Joe & Karen Neff

Joe is a retired partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held numerous management positions. He is the cofounder and chairman of NEFF, a youth-oriented accessories brand. Joe has served as an adjunct professor at BYU, the University of Southern California, and DePaul University. He is the coauthor of five accounting/finance textbooks and is a frequent guest lecturer around the country. Joe was co-editor of the American Bar Association State Taxation Journal. He served as president of the New York/Pennsylvania Historic Sites for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joe earned his bachelor’s degree from BYU and his JD from Drake/Southwestern University.

Karen attended Brigham Young University. She and her husband, Joe, have four children and many grandchildren.

Mike & Cindy Neider

Mike is the former President and CEO of Miro Industries. Prior to that position, he practiced law. He served on the Utah Governor’s Commission for Women and Families and in the Young Men’s General Presidency for the Church. Mike and his first wife, Rosemary Curtis Neider, raised eight children. He served as the Nevada Las Vegas Mission President. After his wife passed away, Mike was called as the North America Central JustServe Area Specialist, and as the Utah National Parks Boy Scout Council President. He later married Cynthia Terry Neider and they live in Heber City, Utah. Mike graduated with the J. Reuben Clark Law School’s Charter Class. He was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho.

Cindy, and her husband, Mike are currently serving as missionaries with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, assisting with a new Global Participants Initiative. Prior to this calling, they served as Human Rights Education Missionaries with the Geneva Office for Human Rights Education. Cindy taught elementary school for over 30 years. She was awarded the Utah Enlightened 50 Award in 2012. Cindy graduated from BYU in Education. She was raised in Colorado. Cindy has two children, and together Mike and Cindy share 37 grandchildren.

Jeff & Janet Nelson

Jeff and Janet returned to Germany in March to serve another Church mission there. Jeff received his bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Utah, and his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU, and also studied at Universität Konstanz, in Konstanz, Germany. He practiced law, primarily in banking and finance, in New York City and Germany. He was then Area Legal Counsel for the Europe Area of the Church, stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, for four years. After finishing his Area Legal Counsel assignment, he acted as Senior Counsel for the Church for two years in Salt Lake City, Utah, overseeing the legal affairs of various departments of the Church. Upon his retirement, he was appointed Senior Fellow of the ICLRS in July 2022.

Janet received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah and her master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Hunter College in New York City. She raised her four children in Brooklyn, New York, and taught mathematics in secondary schools in Orem and New York City. She served on the Young Women’s Board of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While she and her husband were living in Germany, she worked with refugees who had come from Afghanistan, Syria, and Pakistan, tutoring them in German, mathematics, and English. When she moved to Salt Lake City, she continued to volunteer as a mathematics tutor to local refugees. In July 2022 she was appointed Senior Fellow of ICLRS.

Robert & Joy Orton

Robert and his wife, Joy, served as United Nations Government Relations Representatives and International Fellows in Geneva, Switzerland for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Robert served a term as Assistant to former United States Senator Wallace F. Bennett. He also worked as an attorney for Fabian and Clendenin, Durham, Jones and Pinegar, and served as director of the Foreign Language League. Robert is an emeritus member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy in the LDS Church. He has served as a temple president and in many other church leadership positions. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, and his J.D. from the University of Utah. Robert was born in Reno, Nevada.

Joy received her BA degree from the University of Utah. She taught at Skyline High School. She also worked as a graphics artist for Bailey, Montague and Associates. She was a PTA president, and community council chairman. She was also a director of foreign language study at an elementary school. Joy has held several church leadership positions. Joy and Robert have six children and 22 grandchildren.

Eric & Chanel Palmer

Eric is a specialist in interventional oncology and stroke. He practices Interventional Radiology, and is a former medical staff president, and a current vice president of his managing group. Eric completed a residency and Fellowship at Loma Linda University. He attended UVCC, University of Utah, and Tulane University. He served a mission in Recife, Brazil. Eric is married to his best friend, and loves his four wonderful children. He is from Riverside, California.

Chanel has transitioned to a full-time mother of four children. She is a former president of the medical auxiliary. She worked in customer service and marketing for Sundance Catalog. She attended UVCC, University of Utah, and BYU-Idaho. Chanel has enjoyed working with the youth in various church callings, but loves the seminary program and currently serves as a stake supervisor. Chanel is from Studio City, California.

Robert & MaryAnn Parsons

Robert and MaryAnn are currently serving a mission for the Church in Poland. Robert is the Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for Exclusive Resorts, the preeminent luxury travel destination club. He was also the chief financial officer of Host Marriott Corporation for several years. Robert has recently served as a member of the Board of Directors of Watermark Lodging Trust, a multi-billion-dollar real estate investment trust. He also served as chairman of the Hotel Development Council of the Urban Land Institute, Chair of the National BYU Management Society and Chair of the National Advisory Council of the Marriott School of Business at BYU. Robert received his MBA and bachelor’s in accounting from BYU.

MaryAnn has spent most of her life raising eight children and serving in a number of civic and community positions, including the National Advisory Council for the Marriott School of Management at BYU for the past 25 years, the Board of Directors of Rising Star (an organization helping and educating families with leprosy throughout the world), and the PTA for over 30 years. MaryAnn has participated frequently in community theater and in choral and vocal solo performances for many organizations. She attended BYU. MaryAnn lived most of her life in the Washington, DC area.

David & Kathryn Paxman

David and his wife, Kathryn, recently served in the Illinois Chicago Mission as Member Leadership Missionaries. David received a bachelor’s in English from BYU and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He taught English literature and writing at BYU Hawaii and BYU Provo. Since retiring from BYU, he has worked for several Church departments as a long-term volunteer and Church Service Missionary, including Self-Reliance Services-Perpetual Education Fund and the Special Projects Department. He keeps his scholarly interests alive as an officer of several academic organizations. In 2005, he and Kathryn served a humanitarian mission for the LDS Church in Argentina.

Kathryn and her husband, David, recently served a mission in the Illinois Chicago Mission. They also served a humanitarian mission in Argentina for the LDS Church. Kathryn had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer in the LDS Perpetual Education Fund for three years. She is the daughter of Bill and Margaret Pope, great supporters of the ICLRS. Kathryn taught school for a few years, having received her bachelor’s degree at BYU in Special Education. Kathryn had moved her family from California to Utah after her first husband had passed away to attend BYU. She loves children with special needs; her youngest child is a delightful Down syndrome girl. Kathryn loves being the mother of a large blended family of 10 children and 36 grandchildren.

Arlon & Linda Petersen

Arlon practiced as an orthodontist until 2009. Subsequently, he and Linda have served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in West Africa. He was involved in local community service on the Town of Gilbert Council, Chamber of Commerce, Chandler Hospital Board. Arlon received a degree in orthodontics in Boston; he had also practiced dentistry for many years. Arlon graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School, and graduated from Arizona State University. He is a native Arizonan raised in Mesa.

Much of Linda’s life and activities have been centered on music. She has enjoyed playing and teaching piano, directing children’s singing groups, teaching summer Music Theater Workshops, directing Stake and Regional Choirs. Linda served on the Gilbert Fine Arts board for 25 years, and during that time also acted in musicals, served as both music director and producer for 10 years of GFAA fall musicals. She attended ASU and graduated in 1970 with a degree in elementary education. Linda is a native of Mesa, Arizona. She is the devoted mother of eight living children.

John & Tamara Petersen

John has been involved in several large-scale commercial real estate developments as managing partner and broker. These include RiverPark Corporate Center (1999-2003), Thanksgiving Park/Station (2005 to present) and The Ridge (2013 to present). Through their holdings company, John and his wife, Tammy, are invested in all sectors of commercial real estate, farm, manufactured housing communities, and land holdings. John and Tammy serve on BYU’s President’s Leadership Council (PLC) and the Marriott School’s National Advisory Council (NAC). They also enjoy funding start-up companies and cheering them on as they learn and grow. John graduated from BYU with a B.A. in Advertising.

Tammy previously was a Buyer for R.C. Willey Home Furnishings until dedicating her time to being a full-time mother. She plays tennis daily, loves to paint, read and loves people. She graduated from Brigham Young University in Fashion Merchandising/Business Management. Tammy was raised in Utah. She and John have four children and four grandchildren that bring them their greatest joys.

Terry & Sherry Peterson

Terry retired as a Senior Vice President/Portfolio Manager for Morgan Stanley after working over forty years in the financial industry. He married his high school sweetheart. Terry grew up in Orem and currently serves on the Orem City Council.

Sherry has served on the Executive Board of America’s Freedom Festival for over twenty years. She is active and involved in supporting constitutional freedoms and current affairs. Sherry and Terry have been married 46 years; they have 6 children and 21 grandchildren.

Andrew & Kristi Pincock

Andrew has been in the internet industry for over twenty years, with experience in online payments, SaaS, digital media, search marketing, artificial intelligence, etc. He graduated from BYU in Accounting and Economics. Andrew served his mission in St. Petersburg, Russia. He grew up in Kensington, Maryland, and was born and lived in France until age 5. Andrew was married to Rebecca Parsons for almost 17 years and had five children before being widowed. He has been residing in Orem, Utah since 2008, and married Kristi in 2016.

Kristi was active in children’s education, helping homeschool others before having kids, and recently started homeschooling her own children. She served a mission in Tuscon, Arizona. Kristi attended Utah State and Utah Valley State College. She was raised in Orange County and moved to Boston area at the end of high school. Kristi was married to Dave Meilstrup for twelve years and had four children before being widowed. She married Andrew in 2016 and moved to Orem, Utah.

David Pollei

David advises Hardwired, a non-profit organization that promotes freedom of conscience and religion. He also advises an online TV trade press publication. He has over 30 years of experience in sourcing, evaluating, transacting, advising, and operating companies. David has served as Executive Director of Travel Study International, Chairman of the e-commerce company, Ominto, in Dubai, ABC’s Marketing Vice President, and President of Shopping by Satellite. He obtained degrees in both International Relations and French from Brigham Young University. His wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Pollei, recently passed away.

David and Mary Ann Blair Pollei were married  for 52 years.  They are the parents of five children and 13 grandchildren.  Mary Ann held a degree in Speech Pathology from Brigham Young University. She worked in the Intensive English Department at UC Davis, helping international students perfect their English skills. During this time, Mary Ann and David met tragedy as their youngest son, Michael, was left unable to care for himself following a near-drowning accident. Over a decade after Michael passed away at age 12, Mary Ann suffered a stroke, leaving her, like her son, unable to care for herself during the last decade of her life. Mary Ann died in August 2021.

Brent & Meg Pratt

Brent has more than thirty years of experience in the real estate industry and is a member of the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee at Foulger Pratt, a real estate development firm. He has a comprehensive understanding of every facet of development and construction, and he has managed projects whose value totals several billion dollars. Brent holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management Finance from Brigham Young University.

Benjamin & Laura Pressley

Ben has spent his career as an executive, advisor, investor, and board member helping growth-stage technology companies. Most notably, he worked as Executive Vice President of Sales and Strategy for the fintech platform Afterpay culminating with its acquisition by Square. Before that, Ben was the Vice President of Sales and Services for Magento, a commerce platform that was acquired by Adobe. Ben holds an MBA from Columbia University, a Masters of Information Systems from the University of Utah, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado.

Laura practiced law in Salt Lake City with the law firm Snell & Wilmer. Before that, she specialized in litigation communications, working for global public relations agencies: Hill & Knowlton, Edelman, & APCO Worldwide. She also worked as an adjunct professor of business law at Utah Valley University. Laura graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and received her undergraduate degree in communications from BYU. She and Ben are the parents of four children.

Stephen & Marianna Richardson

Steve is the Solution Manager of Translation Systems in the Church’s Information and Communication Systems Department. Prior to working at the Church, he presided over the Brazil São Paulo South Mission with his wife. Before the mission, he worked at Microsoft Research as a Principal Researcher and manager of the Machine Translation Group and at IBM working in natural language processing, including at the TJ Watson Research Center. He holds BA and MA degrees in Computer Science and Linguistics from BYU and a PhD in Computer Science from the City University of New York. Steve is currently the president of the Association for Machine translation in the Americas.

Marianna recently received her J.D. from the BYU J. Reuben Clark Law School. She has been an adjunct faculty member at the Marriott School of Management teaching business communication and editing the Marriott Student Review. Marianna received her EdD from Seattle Pacific University and her MS from Johns Hopkins University. She has written books on C. S. Lewis, Alfred Edersheim, and supporting returned missionaries. Steve and Marianna are the parents of 12 children and 26 grandchildren.

Bruce G. & Sara Robinson

Bruce’s business, Symphony Homes, develops residential communities along the Wasatch Front in Utah. He attended the University of Utah, where he and his wife, Sara, majored in English. They are the parents of four daughters and one son.

 

Jeff & Michelle Robinson

Jeff recently served as the Church’s Area Legal Counsel for Mexico. Previously, he was the Vice President, Secretary and Deputy General Counsel at First American Financial Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange listed company. He also serves on the board of directors of its primary title insurance subsidiary and holds various other director and officer positions with the First American family of companies. Jeff started his career as a corporate attorney at an international law firm, White & Case, LLP, where he worked on many domestic and cross-border transactions. He earned a law degree from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Brigham Young University, where he graduated as valedictorian of the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences.

After receiving her DDS from the UCLA School of Dentistry, Michelle has dedicated her time primarily to the raising of her five fantastic daughters. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at San Diego.

Christi & Francis Rogers

Christi taught and coordinated an ESL program in the Provo School District. She attended Brigham Young University in Provo and Hawaii, and was born in Prescott, Arizona. She married long-time ICLRS supporter, Angus Belliston, who has since passed away. In her previous marriage, she lived in many locations with her mining engineering husband, while raising their family. Christi’s and Angus’ families, include seventeen children and more than 75 grandchildren. Christi recently married Francis Rogers.

Francis was an elementary teacher for thirty years. He also served eight years in the CES Indian seminaries. He served a mission in the Southwest Indian Mission. Francis received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education at Brigham Young University. He was born and raised in Provo. Francis has five children. He and Christi have been married for a little more than a year.

Mark & Viki Romney

Mark is actively engaged in international transactions law with an emphasis on Latin American issues and representation of Latin American clients in the US. He also practices business-related litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Mark is a member and on the Board of Directors of the US/Mexico Bar Association. He is the Regional Director of Latin American Chapters of the BYU Management Society. Mark is the co-founder of DFW Alliance for Religious Freedom. He received his JD from the University of Arizona, and his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from BYU. His wife, Belinda, passed away after a brief illness; and Mark recently married Viki Lee Romney.

For over 30 years Viki worked in healthcare, life sciences, corporate relations, and communications. Her husband, Phil, passed after a long battle of cancer. Viki and Mark, learned they had both lost their spouses, dated and were married in October 2023. Together they have 12 children, 33 grandchildren, and a great grandson. Viki attended BYU, and danced with the International, Latin Ballroom Dance Team, which earned the title of World Champion in Blackpool England in 1977. Viki grew up in Southern Idaho.

Edward B. & Brooke F. Rowe

Ed is a founding member of the board and CEO for The Stirling Foundation. He was previously a partner at law firms in Washington, DC, where he focused on international dispute resolution and peace building, foreign investment, and government relations. He has spent much of his career working among developing nations and has represented foreign governments before international tribunals, the UN Security Council, EU, US, and other international organizations. Mr. Rowe has also served on boards in the private and non-profit sectors and advised international non-profit organizations on humanitarian and development programs. He has a bachelor’s degree from BYU, a master’s degree from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, and his JD from the University of Chicago Law School.

Brooke is an elementary reading interventionist at American Heritage School. She received an MS in education as a K-12 reading specialist from National Louis University and a BS in elementary education from Brigham Young University. Ed and Brooke are the parents of six children.

Gene & Martha Schaerr

Gene is a veteran litigator in state and federal appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He served as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justices Warren Burger and Antonin Scalia, and for D.C. Circuit Judge Ken Starr. Gene graduated from Yale Law School, and earned two masters degrees in economics from Yale University. He received a BA degree from BYU. Gene is an adjunct professor at BYU Law School, where he teaches courses on religious freedom litigation and Supreme Court practice. He is also the managing partner of the D.C. law firm Schaerr|Jaffe LLP.

Martha has served for the past several years as a member of the Maryland Board of Physicians and as a member of the Montgomery County (MD) Republican Central Committee. She has twice won the Republican nomination for the Maryland House of Delegates. She regularly lobbies the Maryland legislature on issues related to family life and religious liberty. Martha is a mother, grandmother, church leader, and teacher.

Duane & Marci Shaw

Duane is the principal owner and founder of Academy Mortgage Corporation, a national mortgage banking firm headquartered in Sandy, Utah. He has been involved with a number of other businesses, including land development, construction of homes, producing thoroughbred horses, an independent insurance agency and real estate investments. Duane received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

Marci has served as the managing member of Dumar, LLC as well as involvement in other companies with her husband, Duane. Marci has been actively involved in raising a family and serving in her church. She attended Utah State University. Marci and Duane have four married children and 13 grandchildren. They currently reside in Sandy, Utah.

Milt & Heidi Shipp

Milt and Heidi currently serve on the Church’s Hosting Committee. They also served as the Church’s first India Mission Training Center President and Companion. Prior to this calling, they served a mission in the Asia area and were based in Hong Kong. Milt is a founder and former CEO of DAI, a real estate development company with projects along the Wasatch Front in Utah. He also was a partner in Candlelight Homes. Milt graduated from the University of Utah in Organizational Communications and then attended BYU’s MBA School. He is a member of the IAC Executive Committee, and was recently named the Chair of the IAC.

Heidi served on the Broadcasting Leadership Council for BYUtv. She has also served on the Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities. She received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Utah. Heidi and Milt have seven children and twenty-two grandchildren.

Shellie Silliman

Shellie and her husband, Dick, grew up in Eastern Washington. They attended the same schools and graduated from high school one year apart. Shellie attended nursing school and graduated as an RN. Dick graduated from Washington State and accepted a job at Hoffman Construction Co. in Portland, Oregon. Dick worked for Hoffman for 46 years where he became a partner in the company, overseeing estimation and many other responsibilities. He loved golf and people, especially his family. Dick passed away February 4, 2021, from Covid. Our family misses him greatly. Shellie and Dick were married for 47 years; they have 4 children and 18 grandchildren.

Greg & Sharon Slater

Greg is the Vice President and Counsel to the President at Intel Corporation, a semiconductor chip maker. He also served as Director of Trade and Competition Policy, as Group General Counsel for Intel’s Corporate Services Division; he also managed the legal aspects of Intel’s environmental, health and safety issues worldwide. He received his Bachelor’s of Science from BYU and his J.D. from J. Reuben Clark Law School.

Sharon co-founded Family Watch International (FWI), a nonprofit organization in consultative status with the United Nations, and serves as its president. Sharon is the author of “Stand for the Family.” She was selected to represent American Mothers, Inc. as the 2007 Arizona Mother of the Year. Sharon received a bachelor’s degree in Family Sciences. She and Greg are the parents of seven children, four biological and three orphan siblings from Mozambique.

Gordon H. & Sharon Smith

Senator Smith was elected as a Republican to the United States Senate in 1996. He served from January 1997 to January 2009, and was chair of the Special Committee on Aging. Senator Smith was a member of the Oregon State Senate from 1992-1997, and was President from 1995-1997. He was president of Smith Frozen Foods; and had practiced law in Arizona. Senator Smith was a law clerk for the New Mexico Supreme Court after receiving his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. Senator Smith was raised in Bethesda, Maryland, and was born in Pendleton, Oregon.

John & Hannah Smith

John is the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of Ryan, a global tax services and software provider, based in the Dallas office. John spent 12 years in Texas and Virginia at Raytheon Technologies, an American multinational aerospace and defense corporation. He also served as associate counsel to U.S. President George W. Bush and the lead lawyer for the White House Homeland Security Council staff. He began his legal career by clerking for Judge Samuel Alito, and then by practicing at the international law firm of Covington & Burling. John graduated with high honors from both Princeton University and Brigham Young University Law School.

Hannah recently joined the Center as an Associate Director. She clerked for Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito, Jr. of the US Supreme Court. She also had a distinguished decade of service as Senior Counsel at Becket Law. She was a member of the legal teams that secured victories in key US Supreme Court religious liberty cases. During her time at Becket, she contributed to 25 Supreme Court briefs and represented more than 13 major faith groups. Hannah was an associate in private practice at national law firms in Washington DC. She received her JD from J. Reuben Clark Law School, where she received many awards, and her BA from Princeton University. She and her husband, John, are the parents of four children.

David & Rebecca Smith

David is Managing Partner at Caproc Capital. He is a former Partner and co-founder of Veridicus Health (VRx), and President of Granite Alliance Insurance Company – both of which were acquired by Magellan Health. Recently, David and his wife, Rebecca, and their three children, returned from service as Mission Leaders of the New York, New York North Mission for the Church. A graduate of the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business, David has served on various local and national professional boards.

Rebecca has spent the last 22 years raising her family, and being involved in community and church service. Rebecca has volunteered at the MTC, the Texas PTA, the Union Gospel Mission homeless shelter in Texas, and the Battered Women Foundation of Fort Worth. Rebecca is currently a student at BYU finishing a degree in Family Studies.

Brian & Kim Snelson

Brian has developed commercial and residential properties in Utah and Arizona. He and Kim recently returned from serving a mission in Portugal. Previously they served a mission in Mozambique. They are members of BYU-Pathway Worldwide President’s Leadership Council. Brian graduated from BYU with a degree in Business Management.

Kim and Brian served missions in Portugal and Mozambique. They are members of the BYU-Pathway Worldwide President’s Leadership Council and the Scripture Central Ambassador Council. Kim graduated from BYU with a degree in Public Relations. She worked briefly and then chose to stay home to raise their children. Kim grew up in Mississippi. She and Brian are the parents of five children and six grandchildren, with more on the way.

James & Cheryl Stanley

James is a managing director with Alvarez & Marsal, a global advisory firm specializing in restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and general business advisory. James specializes in US corporate/partnership federal income tax, US international tax, and cross-border M&A tax. Formerly, he was a partner/principal with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Silicon Valley. Previous to that he was a managing director with KPMG in Silicon Valley and Washington, DC. He earned a B.A. in economics from BYU, his J.D. from Chapman University School of Law, and his LL.M in taxation from Boston University School of Law.

Cheryl is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG. She graduated from BYU with a master’s degree in Tax Accountancy. Cheryl and Jim have four children.

Bryant & Nicole Stirling

Bryant, and his wife, Nicole are partners in an IT consulting firm in Houston, which services oil and gas, chemical, and gold mining industries. Bryant has developed several pieces of custom software to help customers use historical data to improve business systems. Prior to the development of the IT consulting firm, he worked for years as a software engineer. He received an Executive MBA from the University of Utah.

Nicole Stirling is a founding board member of The Stirling Foundation. She also serves as the organization’s Vice President and Chief Relations Officer. In addition, she maintains her role as President of an IT consulting firm based in Houston that develops custom software solutions for the oil and gas, chemical, and gold mining industries across the globe. In addition to launching the Stirling Foundation, Ms. Stirling has worked as a board member and employee at other non-profit organizations, including a prominent, multinational organization, providing high-level support at the forefront of their efforts to build and strengthen relationships. She also worked closely with Richard B. Wirthlin, former chief strategist and pollster for President Ronald Reagan, at Wirthlin’s international market research firm. She and her husband Bryant are the parents of three children and grandparents to one grandson.

David & Laurea Stirling

David and Laurea are currently serving as Mission Leaders in the Armenia/Georgia mission for the Church. David is the President and CEO of doTERRA International. Previously, he served as chairman and CEO for a large international company. David’s earlier career includes a strong background in technology, overseeing global infrastructure engineering efforts for a billion-dollar multinational company. He graduated from BYU with a BS in Business, and earned a MBA from University of Utah.

Laurea has served on and headed numerous parent organizations, supporting the education systems where their children were involved. She has been very busy raising their nine children. Laurea graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts.

Joel & Shannon Sybrowsky

Joel works in commerical real estate investments, primarily branded hotels. He received his MBA and his undergraduate degree in Near Eastern Studies from BYU. Joel was grew up in Canada, London, England, and Provo; he was born in Toronto, Canada.

Shannon is active in family and church. She graduated from BYU in Communications and Broadcast Journalism. Shannon grew up in Orem and Provo, and was born in Southern California. She and Joel are the parents of six wonderful children.

Roy & Tanya Syme

Roy is an anesthesiologist and has practiced in Durango, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada. He mentors pre-med and medical school students in anesthesiology and has been an adjunct professor at Touro University.

Tanya graduated from BYU with a degree in Recreation Management. She enjoyed working with youth in sports programming and is a supporter of high school and community theater. Roy and Tanya enjoy tennis, pickleball, and just about anything outside. They are the parents of two children.

Dallas & Krista Tanner

Dallas serves as CEO of Invitation Homes and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. As a founding member of Invitation Homes’ business, he was at the forefront of creating the single-family rental industry. He initially served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer from the company’s founding as well as Interim President, and as President and Chief Executive Officer. Dallas founded Treehouse Group, for which he privately sourced funds for various real estate platform investments. He currently serves as a board member of Roots Management, a 40,000+ manufactured housing platform that operates in 22 states. Dallas is actively involved in American Indian Services and served as a missionary in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Sondra Taylor

Sondra is a founder of the Great Falls Senior Center; she developed its programs and served on its Board until 2022. She was the owner and licensed administrator of an assisted living facility. Sondra participated in a joint venture in the 1990s with Russia’s “Intellect” Foundation. She also established “INTRES,” International Training & Education Services, with the focus on Spain and Russia. While her husband, Bob, was at Cornell University, she was employed by Cornell’s Dean’s Staff and as a guidance counselor for the school district. Sondra obtained her Master’s Degree from BYU in Counseling and Guidance. She is the mother of seven children. Sondra’s husband, Robert Joseph Taylor, passed away in 2019; he had received his PhD from Cornell University, and worked at John’s Hopkins and Lockheed at a physicist.

Wayne & Patrice Tew

Wayne has recently returned from serving with his wife, Patrice, as LDS Mission President of the Norway Oslo Mission. He retired in 2015 after 29 years as President and CEO of Clark County Credit Union and served on a number of industry related boards during his career. Wayne is co-owner of Ultimate Collision Repair Centers in Las Vegas. He is Chairman of the Board of The Howard Center’s World Congress of Families, a board member of Hope for Prisoners, Dymicron and the Nevada Capital Investment Corporation. He previously served on the Executive Board of the Las Vegas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Wayne, a CPA, received his Master’s of Accountancy and his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from BYU.

Patrice is serving with her husband, Wayne, in the Norway Oslo Mission, where he is mission president. Patrice was elected in 2012 as School Board Trustee to Clark County School District, the fifth largest school district in the nation servicing over 330,000 students. Patrice has lobbied with Catholic Families NGO at the United Nations in behalf of families. She also served on the Executive Board of the Las Vegas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. She was selected as the 2010 Nevada Mother of the Year. Patrice graduated from BYU’s Honors Program as a University Scholar High Honors with Distinction, and as Valedictorian. She also graduated with a J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School. Patrice practiced part-time and then retired in order to devote her energies to raising four children. Patrice and Wayne are blessed with 14 grandchildren.

Thomas & Leslie Thomas

Tom is the Managing Partner of the Thomas & Mack Co., an investment management and commercial real estate development company, and has managed the company since 1992. The company owns and operates over 4 million sq. ft. of office and light industrial properties in Las Vegas as well as commercial and residential real estate developments in California, Arizona, and Utah. The Company represents a 60-year, four generation partnership between the Thomas and Mack families. Tom holds a J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law and a B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah. He is also a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School. Tom currently serves on many boards and councils.

Leslie and her husband, Tom, are co-chairs of the BYU Broadcasting Leadership Council. She is currently a teacher of morning seminary. Leslie received her law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU, and graduated in International Relations from the same university. She served a mission in the Canada Halifax mission. Leslie and Tom have five children and three grandchildren.

Lonny & Lori Townsend

Lonny recently returned from serving as Mission President of the Arizona Mesa Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Prior to that, he served as Area Legal Counsel for the Church in South America. Lonny retired as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Magellan Midstream Partners. He is a graduate of the BYU Law School and a former law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Lori served with her husband in leading the Arizona Mesa Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She received her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1985. Lori and Lonny are the parents of five children.

Bryce & Peggy Wade

Bryce is an investor in new business ventures. He served as counsel for various commercial enterprises specializing in real estate development, automobile dealerships and investment banking. He also worked for years as a prosecutor for Salt Lake City. Bryce and Peggy Wade served as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Utah Salt Lake City East Mission. Bryce graduated from the University of Utah School of Law.

Peggy served as a Judge of the Salt Lake County Justice Court for thirty years. She has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Master’s Ethics Seminar Class at the University of Utah. Peggy has a BA, MA and Graduate Certificate from the University of Utah in Political Science, Public Administration, and Public Ethics. She and Bryce are the parents of ten children.

Stephen Wade

Stephen serves as the President of Stephen Wade Auto Center, St. George, Utah. He also serves on the association’s Dealership Operations Committee. He has owned more than 20 franchises throughout Utah and has served on numerous automotive factory commiittees, boards, and associations. Stephen presently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Dixie State College and is founder of Sun Trust Bank of St. George.

Stephen’s wife, Marcia, recently passed away. She had served on and chaired several boards and foundations in St. George, and had considerable involvement with Dixie College. She received a bachelor’s degree in Education from BYU. Marcia enjoyed teaching school, and then chose to stay home to raise their five children.

Blake & Leslie Walker

Blake is a co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Grandeur Peak Global Advisors, an investment firm focused on global equities. He was also a partner at Wasatch Advisors and a portfolio manager. Blake received a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He is originally from Toronto, Canada.

Leslie, a neonatal nurse by trade, focuses her time on rearing her children. She and her husband, Blake, are the parents of four children.

Bruce & Linda Wardle

During his 35-year career, Bruce owned Association Management Group, Inc. (AMG), a respected professional services firm engaged in the delivery of nonprofit management, government relations, public affairs, and meeting and event management services. His work and experience resulted in the ability to offer trusted management, political, and public policy advice to clients. Bruce retired as Chairman of Interel US in 2019 to deliver special projects as a Senior Advisor. The Wardles served as Public Affairs/Church Communications missionaries in the Europe Area, and managed diplomatic and government outreach in London. Bruce continuously monitors political developments and key service needs related to clients. Bruce attended BYU and the University of Utah, graduating in Political Science.

Before serving as a Church Communication missionary in London, UK, Linda was a real estate professional, licensed in Virginia. During her thirty-plus years as a realtor serving numerous buyers and sellers, she became an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP); Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR); Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES); and has a Certification in Negotiation. As a Real Estate professional, Linda helped clients achieve their property goals and dreams. Linda graduated from BYU with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Clothing and Textiles and taught classes at ZCMI and BYU. She also had her own custom tailoring and dressmaking business while raising their children. Linda and Bruce have five children and 14 grandchildren.

David & Rachel Weidman

David Weidman is the director of missionary effectiveness in the Missionary Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was formerly chairman and CEO of Celanese Corporation, a $6.4 billion global integrated chemical company. Prior to this appointment, he was vice chairman of the Celanese AG Board of Management and COO of Celanese AG. He joined Celanese AG as CEO of the company’s chemicals business. Before joining Celanese he was president of Allied Signal’s Performance Polymers business. David earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from BYU and his MBA from the University of Michigan. He served as president of the California Los Angeles Mission.

Rachel Weidman served with her husband as he presided over the California Los Angeles Mission from 2013 to 2016. She enjoys reading (especially literature and history) and interior design. Rachel has had callings in Relief Society, Young Women, Primary, and CES. David and Rachel have six children and wonderful grandchildren.

John & Norma Welch

Jack served for forty years as a Professor of Law at BYU, as well as being the founder of FARMS and of Scripture Central, and also working for twenty-seven years as the editor in chief of BYU Studies. His wide-ranging scholarship includes publications in both law and religion. Although retired, Jack is still heavily involved in on-going research and publications in the New Testament, the Book of Mormon, Church History, and the Constitution as well as regular podcast appearances. After bachelor’s and master’s degrees from BYU, Jack did graduate work at Oxford before receiving his J.D. from Duke University. He practiced law at O’Melveny & Myres in Los Angeles before coming to Provo. He and Jeannie have four children and 17 grandchildren and are currently in their second assignment as church senior missionaries.

Now retired after many years on the BYU French Faculty where she also was the Director of the Foreign Language Student Residence, Jeannie has been an active sponsor of her local elementary school dual immersion French program. Over the years she has organized many group travels to France and Church History sites and loves exploring new places with Jack. Back home from 20 months teaching as a missionary at BYU Hawaii, she is currently serving as a research missionary for the Joseph Smith biography in addition to lots of time hosting friends and family events. Jeannie and Jack are the parents of four children and seventeen grandchildren.

Linda & Wilford White

Linda and her late husband, David Bang, started their company in 1979. The company is a factory rep organization for major playground and site furnishing companies, selling commercial equipment – from basketball standards and bike racks to stadium bleachers and ramadas. The company covers all of Arizona and California. Dave passed away in 2016 and Linda has continued the company. Linda and Danny were married in 2023 and have 9 children and 31 grandchildren.

Danny played for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL as quarterback for 13 years. He was the starting quarterback for 7 years and played in 2 super bowls, winning one. Danny played quarterback as well as punter for Arizona State University for 3 years helping them to win 3 Fiesta bowls and was honored to be the first inductee from the State of Arizona into the College Hall of Fame in 1997. After retiring from the NFL, Danny became head coach of the Arizona Rattlers for 13 seasons and was inducted into the Arena Football Hall of Fame in 2002. Currently, he is on the ASU football staff. Danny was born and raised in Mesa, AZ.

Lance & Patricia Wickman

Elder Wickman is an Emeritus member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and is currently the general counsel of the Church. He practiced law in Los Angeles and San Diego with the law firm Latham & Watkins. Elder Wickman graduated from Stanford Law School, and from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He served in the United States Army as a captain during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Valorous Unit Award, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. Elder Wickman was born in Seattle, Washington.

Patricia graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in history. She was born in Berkeley, California. Patricia and Elder Wickman are the parents of five children.

Jennifer Wilcox

Jennifer is active in community and church affairs, and is presently the President of the Edgemont Board of Education. She is a founding partner of Darger, Errante, Yavitz & Blau, a boutique litigation law firm in New York City. She considers her most important and rewarding work to be as mother to her five children.

Gerald and Claudia Williams

Gerry and Claudia recently completed service as United Nations Government Relations Representatives in Geneva, Switzerland, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gerry was a founding faculty member at the J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he specialized in negotiation and conflict resolution. He has been a visiting professor at Kabul University (pre-war Afghanistan), University of Cairo (Egypt), and Harvard Law School. He was President of the France, Bordeaux Mission. Gerry earned his B.S. from BYU and J.D. from the University of Utah.

Claudia recently returned from serving a mission with her husband in Geneva, Switzerland. She and Gerry also served in the France, Bordeaux Mission where he was Mission President. She worked many years as a therapist after she earned a master’s degree in social work at Brigham Young University. Claudia had also worked in hospital laboratories. She received a B.S. in microbiology from BYU. They have five children and 15 grandchildren.

Kim Wilson & Gail Miller

Kim spent his entire legal career at Snow, Christensen & Martineau in Salt Lake City where he is now attorney emeritus. He served many years, by appointment of the Utah Supreme Court, as Chairman of the Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah State Bar. Kim is a founding member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ensign Peak Foundation and Mormon Historic Sites Foundation. He is involved in civic affairs and serves on a number of other non-profit, professional and community boards. Kim is a 1973 graduate of the S. J. Quinney School of Law.

Gail is the owner of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and serves on the Board of Directors of Larry H. Miller Management Corporation. She is actively involved in many business, civic and educational endeavors. She is the Chair of the Intermountain Healthcare’s Board of Trustees, sits on the Zion Bank Advisory Board, and is Co-Chair of the Utah Homeless Council and Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah. Gail is a member of the Utah Impact Partnership Board and the Shelter the Homeless board. She also serves on both the President’s Campaign Senior Advisory Council at the University of Utah and the President’s Leadership Council at BYU.

Larry & Linda Wilson

Larry is an Emeritus General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Senior Vice President of Finance for the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan in the California Bay Area. He also served as the chief operating officer for Catholic Healthcare West in San Francisco. Elder Wilson graduated from Stanford Business School. He is married to Lynda Mackey Wilson, and they are the parents of four children.

Mark & Carol Wolfert

Mark is the Founding Executive of doTERRA International. He served as mission president for the Georgia Atlanta North Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2011 to 2014. Mark received his BA from the University of Utah in 1980 and received his JD from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at BYU in 1983.

Carol enjoys being a homemaker, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, physical activities, attending sporting events, and traveling, especially when it involves humanitarian work. Her husband, Mark, and she served as the Church’s mission president and companion in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. Carol attended the University of Utah and worked in the Associated Student U of U office until married. They are the parents of five children and ten grandchildren.

Kenneth & Athelia Woolley

Ken, an entrepreneur, has helped launch over forty companies, many in England. Most of his enterprises involve real estate; others include high tech, food, and airlines. Currently, he is the Executive Chairman of Extra Space Storage, Inc. He also has property companies in Las Vegas and New York. Ken helped found and is active in More Good Foundation, and has served for many years on the board of American Indian Services. He recently returned from serving as president of the Moscow Russia West Mission for the LDS Church. Ken received a bachelor’s degree in Physics from BYU, and an MBA and PhD in Business Administration from Stanford University.

Athelia works as a member of the Utah Youth Parole Authority and serves as a mediator in the Third District Court in the victim-offender program and in schools to resolve truancy issues. She also serves as a hospice volunteer for CNS and on the Hale Center Theater Board. Athelia graduated in Humanities from BYU and did graduate work in English and in Communications. The Woolley’s have seven children and twenty-four grandchildren.

Timothy E. & Teresa D. Wright

Tim has been a commercial valuation expert for many years. His is also a founding partner of Crescendo Properties, a self-storage investment company, and Quick Quack, an express car wash company. He currently serves as President of Quick Quack Car Wash. Tim is also a member of the Tabernacle Choir. He graduated from BYU with a Bachelors of Arts in International Relations.

Teresa has had the blessing of being a stay-at-home mother. She met her husband, Tim, while attending BYU. She has served in many church leadership capacities. Teresa grew up in Seattle, Washington. She and Tim are the parents of four children and six grandchildren, with another one on the way.

Koo & Patricia Yuen

Koo is a businessman, who has owned and operated gas stations since 1973. This business has provided the funding for his philanthropic passions, such as his financial support for PBS (Public Broadcast Service), his involvement with the Church, and in giving to worthy causes to improve society. Koo has lived in the Washington, D.C. area since 1964, when he and his family emigrated from Hong Kong. His junior and high school years were greatly impacted by his music teacher, the famous Roberta Flack, and his tennis coach, Robert Johnson, Jr., whose father was Arthur Ashe’s coach. Koo was converted to the Church in 1998, when he was living in the Bethesda Ward in Maryland. He was born in Hong Kong, and his ancestral village is Taishan, Guangdong, China.

Patricia has assisted Koo as bookkeeper since they opened their first gas station in 1973. She obtained her RN in Hong Kong, and later returned to nursing school and received her U.S. nursing certification in Maryland. Patricia and Koo met in Washington, D.C. in 1971 when she emigrated from Hong Kong to the U.S. with her family. Patricia graduated from a Catholic girls’ school in Hong Kong. She and Koo have two children, Mark and Stephanie, and six grandchildren.

Elder Wilford W. & Kathleen Andersen

Wilford was released as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and given emeritus status. Prior to this church assignment, he was managing partner of Andersen Investments. Elder Andersen received a bachelor’s degree in business management in 1973 and his J.D. in 1976 from Brigham Young University. Previously they resided in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where Elder Andersen served as Area President of the Caribbean Area for the LDS Church. He currently works in the Temple Department at Church headquarters.

Kathleen graduated from Brigham Young University. She and her husband, Wilford, are the parents of nine children.

Mark & Janette Cressler

After a career in real estate development, Mark entered full-time service with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is currently assigned to the Special Projects Department where his primary responsibilities are the selection and recommendation of Church temple sites and other strategic assignments. Mark was born in California and was raised in Germany. He is married to Janette Smith Cressler, and they are the parents of five children.

Gary & Ann Crocker

Gary is the Chairman of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, a privately held biotech firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts that develops diagnostic tests and novel drugs for cancer treatment. He is also the President of Crocker Ventures, LLC, a life science private investment firm. Gary is serving his second term on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Branch of San Francisco. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Sorenson Capital, an LBO private equity fund. Gary was recently inducted into the University of Utah Science Hall of Fame, and serves as a director of the University’s Research Foundation. He earned his MBA, and also graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Harvard University.

Ann and Gary reside in Salt Lake City, and are the parents of seven children.

Bruce G. & Marie Kartchner Hafen

Bruce is a nationally recognized scholar on family relationships, children, and education. He earned a juris doctorate from the University of Utah. Bruce is also a former dean of Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, which he helped to establish. He is the former president of BYU-Idaho, and provost at BYU. Bruce served in the First Quorum of the Seventy for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until October of 2010. He married Marie Kartchner in 1964.

Marie is a mother, writer, editor, and instructor. She has taught religion, literature, and writing at Brigham Young University-Idaho and BYU. Marie received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from BYU in English, and was raised in Bountiful, Utah. Marie and her husband, Bruce, are the parents of seven children and 46 grandchildren (two deceased).

Ralph & Carole Hardy

Ralph recently retired as a member of the Venable LLP law firm and is also involved with Venable’s Government Relations Group with Congress and the Executive Departments of the Federal Government. He also served as Founding National Chairman of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society from 1987-1993. Ralph received a B.S. with honors at the University of Utah and a J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley. Ralph is the past-chair of the International Advisory Council of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at Brigham Young University.

Carole and her husband, Ralph, have four children and twelve grandchildren, and reside in Potomac, Maryland.

Richard & Nancy Marriott

Dick runs Host Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel-focused real estate investment trust. It was spun off in 1993 from the larger family-run Marriott International, founded by his father J.W. “Bill” Marriott in 1957. Richard received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts/Science from the University of Utah.

Nancy is the President of the Nancy Peery Marriott Foundation and is active among several national public-service organizations. She is an accomplished lyric soprano, having performed throughout the United States. Nancy and Richard are the parents of four children.

Bill & Donna Marriott

Bill is the Executive Chairman of Marriott International, Inc. He attended St. Albans School in Washington, D.C. and earned a B.S. degree in banking and finance from the University of Utah. He also served as an officer in the United States Navy.

Donna and her husband, Bill, have been married for over sixty years. They have four children, fifteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Dennis & Joni Kay Neuenschwander

Dennis is an Emeritus General Authority for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and and also served as area president in the Europe and Europe East Areas for the Church. He earned degrees from Weber State University and Brigham Young University. In 1974 he earned a Ph.D. in eastern European languages from Syracuse University. Dennis taught Russian language classes at BYU and the University of Utah, and worked for the LDS Church’s genealogical department. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Joni served with her husband as missionaries for the LDS Church in the Europe East Area. They also served eight months in Istanbul.

David & Georgia Owens

David practiced law in CA for forty years, the last twenty specializing in heirship law. He graduated from Stanford University in 1962 in Economics and from Harvard Law School in 1965. David and his late wife, Georgia, have six children and seventeen grandchildren. David lives in Salt Lake City.

Georgia recently passed away. She graduated from the University of Utah majoring in theater. She was an on-air television reporter for KSL in Salt Lake City and the NBC affiliate KRON-TV in San Francisco. In California, she had a home staging business. She served on the University of Utah Alumni Emeritus Board.

Scott & Betsy Thornton

Scott is the owner of Thornton Development & Investment, LLC. He and his wife, Betsy, have also established the Scott W. and Betsy D. Thornton Family Foundation. They reside in Park City, Utah.

Mark & Laura Willes

Mark served as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, President of General Mills, Chairman and CEO of Times Mirror in Los Angeles, President of Deseret Management Company in SLC, and was also publisher of the Los Angeles Times. Mark was a professor of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and his PhD from the Columbia Graduate School of Business. Mark served with his wife as mission president of the Hawaii Honolulu Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Laura has authored four books, including “Christmas with the Prophets,” and “Miracle in the Pacific, a History of the Polynesian Cultural Center.” She earned her BA degree at the University of Minnesota. Laura and Mark are the parents of five children and 20 grandchildren.
